Facilities

Royal Mara Safari Lodge’s main building has a cosy lounge, bar and dining area.

The structure is raised on a mahogany platform with canvas sides which can be opened completely to let in the cool breeze and provide views over the Mara River. Find a comfortable spot in the evening and relax with a book or a drink.

Dining

As the camp only accommodates an exclusive number of guests, you can enjoy your meals at a variety of scenic locations, most of these overlooking the beautiful Mara River.

Meals are skilfully prepared by the resident cooks and you can look forward to hearty, delicious cuisine. Tuck into a full buffet breakfast in the mornings, either near the hippo pool, or out in the open savannah as part of your morning game drive.

After an exciting morning out in the bush, return to a flavoursome barbecue of burgers and grills, accompanied by a spread of soups and salads.

In the evening, you can sit down to an exquisite three course meal, either in your private dining area, in one of the two communal dining rooms or out under the stars with the sounds of the wilderness all around you.

Standard Chalet

The eight luxury guest suites at Royal Mara are built on elevated mahogany decks and are dotted along the Mara River, with a beautiful wetland on the opposite side.

The suites are specially designed to blend in with the natural surrounds and are furnished with carved wooden items. Each suite either features a four-poster super king- or double-sized bed, full en suite bathroom and dining and lounge areas. The front canvas can fold away completely, offering incredible river views and the chance to watch local wildlife from the comfort of your room or your private veranda.
