Leopard Beach Resort is located south of the bustling port of Mombasa on the edge of the unspoiled, golden Diani Beach. With its thatched chalets and soaring palm trees, Leopard Beach Resort has a classic Indian Ocean atmosphere. Relax on one of the many sun loungers next to the swimming pool or go on a leisurely walk along the long white beach.

You can spoil yourself at the Uzuri Spa with its range of top-quality treatments or if you're after a bit of exercise, play a round of golf on the nearby 18-hole golf course. Discover what happens offshore by taking a sailing dhow excursion to Kenya's Wasini Island or explore the Indian Ocean first-hand by going windsurfing, kite surfing or sea kayaking. Beginner and advanced scuba divers alike will head for the resort's in-house diving school but you can keep your feet dry and go on a glass-bottom boat trip to explore the underwater world of the teeming Indian Ocean reefs.

Check your emails or play a game of backgammon in the luxurious Kalani Lounge where a selection of coffees, delicious pastries and cakes are available.

Situated in a six-acre forest, the Uzuri Spa is a sanctuary of tranquillity and rejuvenation for the mind, body and soul. Book one of the many European-style treatments that incorporate original Afican products. The Afya Gym is part of the Uzuri Spa and offers state-of-the-art equipment for you to enjoy a complete workout. There is also a yoga studio.

Cool off in the multi-level large swimming pool with a safe-swimming shallow area, a sports area and a lap area for those who'd like to get in some exercise. Overlooking the pool is the Mawingu Sky Lounge, an area of comfy couches and stunning views of Diani Beach. There is an 18-hole golf course next to the resort.

Book an excursion - half day, full day or longer - at the resort's Adventure Centre. Expert staff will help you organise a memorable experience. Watersports such as scuba diving, kite surfing and snorkelling can easily be arranged.

Dining

The Leopard Beach Resort and Spa offers delicious dining throughout the day. Start off with a colourful buffet breakfast where an array of cereals and tropical fruits as well as traditional English breakfast options are served. The Pool Bistro and Bar offers a varied selection of light meals and snacks as well as fresh seafood and grills.

Enjoy a fresh home-made pizza or delicious pasta next to the ocean at the outdoor Pizza 'n' Pasta Tornati, or wander down to Coco Beach and the Coco Mchana Restaurant where the chef makes made-to-order Chinese and Thai specialties right there on the beach.

Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed at the Horizon Restaurant and Terrace, as well as àl fresco style on the two-tiered deck at the Chui Grill. For a great African cultural experience, dine in the Nyama Choma Boma and order a traditional African dish as you watch a live show.

Standard Room

Leopard Beach Resort offers 158 comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms scattered around 25 acres of exotic tropical gardens.

Located on the first floor, the Standard Rooms have balconies that offer views of the garden or the ocean. Each room has a queen-sized bed, satellite TV, air-conditioning, free wifi internet access and an en suite bathroom with rain shower.

Each Superior room, located on the ground floor and with a small patio, features a larger lounge area, a queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, satellite TV and en suite bathroom with a rain shower.

The Chui Class Cottages are ideal for couples looking for privacy. Featuring a larger bedroom with queen-sized bed, an adjacent sitting area, satellite TV, air-conditioning and dual rain showers in the en suite bathroom, all cottages have a private garden or patio with stunning ocean views.

There are seven Suites with a private garden or patio and magnificent ocean views. The suites have spacious bedrooms with a sitting area, satellite TV with DVD plus an en suite bathroom with dual vanities and either a Jacuzzi or double rain shower.

Overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Private Villas offer the ultimate in luxury and privacy by featuring a large four-poster bed, lounge area and a spacious bathroom with rain shower and Jacuzzi. Each villa has a large patio area which is perfect for tanning and outdoor dining.
