Hemingways Resort is located on a secluded stretch of beach in the Watamu Marine Reserve on Kenya's tropical coast. Facilities

Book one of several beauty treatments on offer at the Hemingways Resort's Day Spa. Their professional team of therapists can help you to relax and unwind with a fabulous massage, herbal body scrub or maybe a pedicure as you enjoy a delicious cocktail. Spend a day out on the Indian Ocean catching swordfish as well as black or striped marlin on one of the resort's many fishing charter boats.

The Hemingways Resort has a reputation for some of the finest big game fishing, particularly Marlin in the world. The resort also offers several day trips and activities for you to enjoy. Head out for a day of scuba diving, sailing or go on a day trip to Gede Museum or the town of Malindi.

Dining

Meals at Hemingways Resort are prepared using the freshest ingredients and draw inspiration from local and international cuisine. Dinner on Wednesdays and Saturdays takes the form of a buffet while on Sundays you can enjoy a delicious curry dinner with specialties from Mongolia and India.

Dine on freshly-caught seafood, and for those anglers who like to eat what they land, the chef will prepare your catch just the way you like it.

The staff is always willing to cater to any specific dietary requirements and there is always a vegetarian option on the menu. Take your meal out on the moonlit terrace and listen to the sounds of the ocean or enjoy the cool indoor ambience of the resort's restaurant.

Superior Room

Hemingways Resort offers room types ranging from Superior Rooms to Executive Suites. All 74 rooms at Hemingways Resort have ocean views and are within easy walking distance of the beach.

The large Superior rooms are located in the south wing of the hotel and have either a double bed or twin, with extra space for an extra bed if requested. Being situated on the first or second floor the rooms offer lovely views of the pool, garden and beach in the distance. Each room has a en suite bathroom with shower only, air-conditioning, and a private balcony.

Other Room Types

The spacious Deluxe rooms are located throughout the hotel. The rooms in the south wing are situated on the ground floor and come with a double bed and a single daybed. In the north wing, the rooms are either on the ground or the first floor and have either a king-sized bed or a double and single bed. All the Deluxe rooms have an en suite bathroom with bath and shower, air-conditioning, and a private balcony or veranda.

The Junior Suites are found on the ground or second floor throughout the hotel. Each suite has a large king-sized bed, en suite bathroom with a large bath and separate shower, air-conditioning, a separate lounge area plus a private balcony or veranda.

The two Executive Suites are found on the first floor and have been individually furnished. These suites include a separate bedroom with an en suite bathroom and an open-plan lounge and dining area. The bathroom is equipped with dual basins, corner bath, and a spacious shower. There is a small kitchenette and guest shower for those wishing to entertain while guests with children will be pleased to note that there are inter-connecting doors to the adjacent superior room.
