Traveller Reviews

  • Khwai River Lodge was the best for me. I loved the place, the relaxation, the activities, the flexibility, the food, the staff. We had hippo's playing outside all night playing in the water. The tents were very nice and clean.

  • As for Khwai River, a great lodge and a great way to end a trip but definitely far upscale from wilderness. While private dining is nice, it does not allow the guides to bond with their clients nor for the guests to interact with the other guests, something we enjoyed with wilderness. Also, Khwai started its game drives later than wilderness.

  • The other good location for animal viewing was the Khwai River Lodge - there we saw many elephants and hippos!!! We tracked leopards, lions, hyena. Greg and Eric got some fabulous photos!

"The setting on the Khwai River was a front row seat to elephants, hippos, and eagles. I highly recommend the suite at this camp, the outdoor shower and plunge pool were so relaxing."
