The spacious lounge area is the ideal spot in which to relax after an exciting day of wildlife viewing. Sit back and look out over the river with a drink in hand, spotting the animals that come to the river to quench their thirst and graze on the lush banks.

Bush sundowners are also a wonderful way to end the day. You'll relax on brightly coloured rugs and sofas, far removed from civilisation, sipping on delicious cocktails and enjoying hors d'oeuvres as the sun sets behind Mount Kilimanjaro.

Dining

Dining at Galdessa is always a highlight as you relax in the spacious dining room and look out over the riverfront where wildlife frequently visit for a drink of water, providing you with wonderful mealtime entertainment. Tuck into hearty meals after a day’s adventure and enjoy the select wines on offer to complement your cuisine.

For a truly special experience, you can request a bush breakfast after your morning game drive. You'll be taken to a dry, sandy riverbed where you’ll indulge in a delicious breakfast beneath the surrounding doum palms. A picnic in the bush instead of lunch back at the camp is perfect for those not wanting to interrupt their morning game drive and continue their drive into the afternoon.

Standard Room

With only 11 thatched, semi-tented bungalows, you'll enjoy absolute privacy at Galdessa. The bungalows are perched on wooden platforms and hidden between the surrounding foliage, creating a wonderful bush experience.

Each of the spacious bungalows has its own private veranda and is decorated with earthy colours to blend in with the surroundings. En suite bathrooms offer bucket showers, flush toilets and basins with running water.
