Situated on the banks of the Bushman's River in a secluded corner of the Amakhala Game Reserve, HillsNek Safaris is an elegant and exclusive lodge that offers its guests complete privacy. With its location in a prime Big 5 area in the malaria-free Eastern Cape, the lodge offers an excellent wildlife experience.

Explore this diverse area on morning and evening game drives in your 4X4 safari vehicle or go for guided walks with your private ranger. Other activities include canoeing and boat cruises along the river as well as birdwatching and white rhino monitoring and tracking.

The swimming pool is situated on the main deck and is the ideal place to relax and soak up the sun.

You can also enjoy beautiful sunsets from the viewing decks that look out over the surrounding area while sipping on a drink from the bar.

Dining

After your meals have been prepared by your personal chef, they can be enjoyed either at the main lodge or in the privacy of your own tent.

The thatched main lodge has an open-plan lounge, a bar with sitting area and a dining room with decks that offer spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Standard Tent

HillsNek Safaris has three luxury safari-style canvas tents set on a large wrap-around wooden deck. Each of the en-suite tents is connected to the main lodge by a raised wooden walkway and offers complete privacy and seclusion. The tent's canvas windows can be lifted and secured so you can enjoy the view from the comfort of your bed or from the large ball-and-claw bathtub.

Each tent comes equipped with a king-size bed, outdoor shower, indoor and outdoor sitting area and a private dining area - perfect for romantic dinners by candlelight.

HillsNek is a really, really great place.
