Situated just outside Namibia's world-famous Etosha National Park, Villa Mushara offers superbly luxurious and exclusive accommodation for discerning travellers who want a measure of privacy on safari. Only two separate villas are available, both with their own distinct and individual ambience. The thatched public areas at neighbouring Mushara Lodge provide the perfect place to mingle with fellow guests but residents of Villa Mushara can enjoy total seclusion if they want.

The emphasis however is usually on Etosha's spectacular wildlife. Head out into the park on daily game drives but keep an eye out around camp: a variety of animals can be found roaming free on the premises - warthog and several species of antelope are often seen stopping for a drink at the nearby waterholes.

Facilities

Villa Mushara offers its guests a garden and private plunge pool as well as a lapa, open-air day bed, and thatched area for sundowners.

There is also a spacious lounge, and each air-conditioned villa has its own mini-bar, private library and music collection.

Guests are welcome to use the facilities at Villa Mushara's sister camp, Mushara Lodge, situated a few hundred metres away.

Dining

At Mushara the emphasis is on innovative and excellent dining - breakfast is the only meal served buffet style. All other meals are on a set-menu basis, and are accompanied by a selection of quality South African wines. The central Mushara Lodge, close to the villas, is styled on an old farm house with high walls, a corrugated iron roof and wraparound veranda. Meals can be taken either here or at your villa, with the extra option of dining under the stars.

Villa

Accommodation at Villa Mushara consists of two luxuriously appointed villas, each with their own private terrace, plunge pool and outside shower.

Air conditioned and fully serviced, the villas each have a spacious bedroom with double bed and mosquito net. The en suite bathroom is also large and has an interestingly designed zebra-print stand-alone bath.

Both of the villas have their own private library as well as a music collection featuring a diverse selection of artists. Interesting and varied colour schemes have been used, with a great deal of attention paid to finer details.
