Situated on the south of Luangwa National Park, on the banks of the Luangwa River in Zambia, Flatdogs Camp is a remote and family-friendly camp. Ideal for anyone looking for a real bush experience, this camp offers authentic tented accommodation as well as spacious and comfortable chalets. Experience expertly guided game drives both day and night, in fully-equipped safari vehicles.

Head out on a fascinating bush walk with a trained and knowledgeable guide, which provides the opportunity to experience the wilderness more intimately. Children may also enjoy educational walks around the camp to learn more about animal tracking and the indigenous flora and fauna.

Unwind after an exciting day with a refreshing dip in the large swimming pool, or head to the open-plan bar for a refreshing drink.

The bar has both an indoor and outdoor area, as well comfortable seating. Explore the gift shop which sells a range of clothing, curios and other items.

Dining

The trained chefs at Flatdogs create extensive bistro-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners served in the a la carte restaurant. Savour mouth-watering dishes including pork fillet with apple sauce, chicken and almond curry, and beef wellington made from tender Zambian beef.

Vegetarian dishes are imaginative and delicious, and include items like the aubergine and potato curry served with local rice. A fun children's menu is also available.

Luxury Safari Tent

There are six lovely double-storey chalets at Flatdogs. Each chalet offers an upstairs twin or triple room, a downstairs double room with en suite bathroom, and a separate downstairs bathroom.

On the banks of the Luangwa River, in the shade of mahogany trees are six en suite luxury safari tents featuring impressive views of the river.

The Family House sleeps eight people in three bedrooms. A spiral staircase leads up to a spacious viewing deck where you can relax and enjoy the view over the river.
