Elephant Safari Lodge is set in one of the beautiful valleys of the Zuurberg Mountains bordering the Greater Addo Elephant National Park, and is just a short distance from Port Elizabeth. This tented lodge blends into the surrounding bush and offers beautiful secluded suites tucked away in a forest of Yellowwood trees or elevated on a hillside, offering breathtaking views.

Elephant Safari Lodge is best known for its elephant back safaris, an absolute highlight of anyone's stay. Spend time walking with the elephants, observing them in their natural habitats, before climbing up behind a professional guide and experiencing this unique way of exploring the bush. Head out on game drives and fascinating walks on the vast property to learn about the wildlife and medicinal plants.

Dining

Elephant Safari Lodge features its own stylish restaurant and dining area. Dine on delicious meals while overlooking the waterhole which is frequented by the local elephant herd.

Luxury Suite

Elephant Safari Lodge offers a number of spacious, eco-friendly tented suites that have been constructed from canvas and recycled Brazilian pine. Each tent is elegantly decorated with Hemingwayesque style, and rich in old-world colonial charm. After a busy day, unwind on a comfy chair beside an energy efficient wood fireplace.

The en suite bathroom opens onto a secluded wooden deck, featuring an outdoor shower and indulgent spa bath. Other features of the room include electricity, overhead fans, folding camp beds for children which can be added on request, a solar-powered hot water geyser, tea and coffee making facilities, and a well-stocked mini bar.
