This private lodge is situated in a remote part of the malaria-free Kariega Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape and offers a magical, personalised safari experience. The 100-year-old farmhouse has been restored to create a luxurious and exclusive place for a private group of up to 10 people to enjoy a pre or post-safari stay.

Enjoy game drives at The Homestead at Kariega accompanied by your personal ranger or go on cruises on the Kariega and Bushman's rivers. Explore the surrounds on hikes or on mountain bikes. Alternatively, spend time lazing beside your private swimming pool, enjoying the view and sipping on refreshing drinks. The lodge is also ideal for families as it offers a separate playroom for the children to have fun in.

The private outdoor patio and swimming pool create a wonderful place for a family or group of friends to relax during the hottest part of the day with refreshing drinks and snacks.

The playroom offers children a place to have fun and be themselves while never being too far away from their parents.

The Pub lounge has satellite TV and a fireplace and offers an ideal spot to relax after dinner in the evenings, sharing stories of the day's adventure or watching a movie together.

Dining

At the homestead, there are no set meal times, letting you decide when you'd like to eat. Your personal chef will prepare delicious meals for you and your friends or family, bearing your personal tastes in mind.

Enjoy these meals either at your large dining table or outside in your private boma.

Exclusive Use

The homestead consists of five spacious bedrooms, all of which are en suite and feature generous showers. These comfortable suites have overhead fans and are fitted with either two twin beds or one king-sized bed.
