overview

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is located on a lush peninsula on the southwest coast of Mahe in the Republic of Seychelles. This archipelago of 115 islands is a fascinating melting pot of slaves, explorers, pirates and exiles. Seychellois heritage is heard in the mingling of French, English and lilting Creole and tasted in the cuisine’s fusion of flavours. The Resort deftly melds the serenity of a deserted island with splendid luxury.

Your gorgeous tree-top villa perches on a jungle-clad hillside with breathtaking views. The Creole architecture’s generous proportions and airy, indoor-outdoor flow takes the best advantage of the superb setting. The muted neutrals and rich textures of the villa spill out onto your wrap-around hardwood deck with its covered day bed and infinity plunge pool. Between the in-villa spa treatments and dining options, you may find it impossible to leave your private sanctuary!

The Resort tempts you out of your villa with a wide range of activities, from the conviviality of the main rim flow pool, to Hatha yoga classes at the spa pavilion, and sunrise runs along glorious hiking trails. Naturally, an abundance of water sports are on offer, and your Concierge arranges whatever boards, boats or gear you need to sail, dive, snorkel or fish.

For an evening in, visit the Resort library for books, DVDs and games. For an evening out, indulge in fine dining and tropical cocktails, served in two locations, each featuring a restaurant and stylish lounge. The smart, intercontinental ZEZ venue commands spectacular ocean views from the top of the hill, while the beachside Kannel venue serves light meals and fresh seafood dishes. The Chefs celebrate Seychellois heritage, drawing on Mediterranean, Creole and Southeast Asian flavours in their delectable menus.

A decadent dessert served in the comfort of your villa makes the perfect conclusion to a day spent in paradise.

Facilities

Overlooking paradise from the top of the ridge, the Spa is a haven of peaceful rejuvenation. Spread over five separate pavilions and offering no less than seven signature rituals, the Spa has incorporated Yi King, an ancient Chinese healing system, into its pampering wellness and beauty treatments. Spoil your teenager with therapies designed especially for them, with the added benefit of teaching good skincare and useful techniques for relaxation. Little ones are also in for a treat with hair, hand and foot massages, and the delightful Sleep Time Massage, a gentle technique to promote restful sleep.

Adjacent to the spa, the yoga pavilion offers complimentary yoga classes as well as private sessions for individuals and small groups. The range of complimentary classes is quite superb and includes morning and evening Hatha classes, Back Care Yoga, Vedic Yoga to stretch and tone the whole body, and Yogic Sleep to enhance deep relaxation. The Resort’s resident Yogi ensures that the classes suit all levels of participants.

The Resort’s library is well stocked with books, CDs and DVDs, and offers Internet access via a bank of PC workstations. Take your book to the comfortable chaises lounges at the magnificent rim-flow pool or down to the beach. Maintain your fitness regime or start a healthy new habit in the care of certified trainers at the Fitness Centre, which provides state-of-the-art equipment along with studio classes and weight training.

The complimentary Kids for All Seasons programme is dedicated to ensuring that your children enjoy the Resort’s expansive tropical playground through supervised experiences and educational adventures. The team strives to create wonderful memories daily from 09h00 to 21h00 for 4- to 12-year-olds.

If you need any help designing the perfect day for you, your partner or your whole family, simply make use of the 24/7 Concierge service. This service also arranges tours to the National Botanical Gardens and Ste-Anne Marine National Park.

Located in the main lobby with views over the lush tropical gardens, ZEZ restaurant has both indoor and open-air seating. Its delectable breakfast buffet offers both full continental and American dishes along with daily specialities from around the world. The dinner menu features contemporary interpretations of international cuisine and fresh seafood. Dress is smart casual and a children’s menu is available.

ZEZ lounge is open in the evenings for pre-dinner cocktails and excellent sushi. The lounge is an elegant, convivial spot for sundowners with a good selection of cigars to accompany after-dinner drinks.

Located between the rim-flow pool and beach, Kannel restaurant is a stylish and relaxed venue. Open for lunch and dinner, the kitchen serves up a fushion of Creole cuisine and intercontinental dishes, with a superb selection of fresh seafood. Dress is smart-casual (no beachwear), and the children’s menu includes a popular range of pizzas.

Traveller Reviews

  • The Four Seasons Mahé was also great. The villa was astoning and the view was unbelievable. The SPA was great!!!

    Bernardo Remy, June 2014
  • The Four Seasons actually went beyond our expectations. Based on recent reviews we weren't expecting too much in the way of service or food, but were pleasantly surprised. They have a new manager and he obviously reads the reviews and takes action. Very approachable guy and he was everywhere checking on things, even ran into him on the beach one day. The service was almost too much for me, but how can you complain about that? I wouldn't say the food was great, but it was certainly good and when there were small problems, they went out of their way to correct things. We're glad we didn't split the holiday as it was much more relaxing to stay in one place. If the opportunity presents itself, this is a place we would like visit again.

  • Four Seasons Resort Seychelles was awesome. The villas were great and we did not find the need to leave very often. The pool at the villa kept us nice and cool and afforded us with tons of privacy. At night, we would order room service and sit on our deck, watch the sunset, drink wine and enjoy. The service was outstanding and I would absolutely recommend it.
