Traveller Reviews

  • We stayed at both the Fairview and the Tribe. The Tribe was about $100 US more expensive and it was very nice, modern, and new but the rooms are very small. Everything else about it we liked.

  • Tribe Hotel was very nice. The décor was fantastic and food was very good. Unfortunately the pool was not finished (although hotel has been open for 9 months). Plus their staff need some more training. Simple things like they couldn't tell us that the reason our air conditioning wasn't working was because the power was out and they were running on generators. Given the fact that this is a weekly occurrence one would have thought the desk staff would know. But the ambience was such that we could forgive just about any small flaw. I would stay again - just hope that they are able to maintain the facilities.

  • I highly recommended the hotel. It is very modern, clean and within walking distances to the Village Market. This is definitely the best choice. It was extremely affordable ($200 dollars a night including VAT!) and very high quality. You can even get free wi-fi access from your room. If someone is in transit via Nairobi, I highly recommend the Tribe (although it is far from the Elephant Orphange and Giraffe Manor as its so far from the touristy things).
