The LUX* Grand Gaube has been constructed around a heavenly little cove on the north coast of Mauritius. The décor throughout the resort is simple but with decadent island-inspired touches. Rich touches of colour, natural thatch, rattan and peaceful fountains to create a soothing and relaxing environment.

Soak up the sun on the beach, cool off in the calm waters of the Indian Ocean or the expansive swimming pool. Venture out into the ocean on a power-boat tour, or go scuba diving (PADI) and big game fishing. Explore the mainland on a mountain bike or book a tee time at a nearby golf course. Facilities

Choose from a complete menu of treatments and scrubs to create a personalised rejuvenating experience at the LUX* ME Spa. Complement them with a yoga class or a fun fitness programme at the Fitness Centre. Take a dip in one of the three fresh-water swimming pools that are located all round the resort.

Catch the latest movie in comfortable chairs and relaxed ambience in the LUX* Grand Gaube's private cinema with seating for up to 60 people. At LUX* Grand Gaube, children have their very own dedicated club at PLAY for the younger ones, and Studio 17 for the teenagers. Both offer age-appropriate activities, supervised by trained and enthusiastic staff members.

Dining

Every morning The Kitchen, with the lagoon as a backdrop, serves a full fresh and healthy buffet breakfast, and in the evening hosts cultural buffets, table d'hôte and gala dinners.

For lunch there's The Beach; a beach bar and grill which serves Mediterranean cuisine. You can enjoy an evening meal on the Asian-style terrace at Karma House, which specialises in "East meets West" cuisine. Or if you feel like seafood, then try Abalone which serves fish, shellfish and oysters.

Situated under the ancient banyan trees, Banyan - The Island Kitchen offers the classic flavours of traditional island street food.

Need a shot of caffeine to start your day? Then head to the Cafe LUX* for a great cup of the resort's very own certified green organic coffee.

The Spirit Bar and Lounge is a great place to enjoy a quiet drink and perhaps a Havana cigar, while browsing a book from the magnificent library.

The Bar is a poolside bar, which offers an international selection of colourful cocktails as well as light lunches. Allow the resort to create a romantic dinner for two at the swimming pool or on the beach.

Superior Room

The LUX* Grand Gaube comprises of 126 Superior Rooms, 46 Deluxe Rooms, 23 Junior Suites, two Senior Suites and the LUX* Villa. All of the rooms have air conditioning and a ceiling fan, satellite TV, and internet access, and stunning views of the cove from either a balcony or a terrace.  

The Superior Rooms are a good choice for families as they can sleep two adults and one child, and are the only category with inter-leading rooms. The rooms are stylish in design with warm wood finishings and light sandy accents, and have a separate shower and bath in the en suite bathroom.

Other Room Types

The Deluxe Rooms are similar to the Superior Rooms when it comes to features but these rooms are more spacious for the ultimate in tranquillity and comfort.

The Junior Suites have a designated sitting area that opens onto a private terrace or balcony where you can enjoy the view over the ocean. These rooms also offer a king-sized bed and an en suite bathroom that includes double basins, a walk-in shower and a bath.
 
Relax in the private garden of the Senior Suites as you gaze out over the lagoon beyond. These spacious two-storey Suites offer a separate sitting area, a large upstairs bedroom, and a whirlpool bath in the en suite bathroom.

Incomparable views of the lagoon and its own private beach are features of the stylish LUX* Villa that includes two spacious bedrooms, a private swimming pool, and an outdoor whirlpool, as well as a barbecue area for outdoor dining. Additionally, a personal butler is on hand to ensure all your needs are met.
