Perched on the top of a rocky outcrop within the Ulusaba Game Reserve in the heart of the Sabi Sand Private Reserve, this exclusive lodge offers the ultimate private, luxurious safari experience. Located a short walk away from the larger Ulusaba Rock Lodge, the Cliff Lodge offers a secluded getaway ideal for two families or a group of friends.

The twice daily game drives will give you the chance to search for Africa's legendary Big 5 as well as the wide variety of plains game and birdlife the roam these lands. Walking safaris in the company of trained rangers and trackers will provide a more intimate experience of the wilderness. The children will love being part of the Cub's Club, based the main lodge, and they'll receive their own backpack filled with exciting goodies before joining the trained staff on activities that are tailored to each group's specific needs.

Ulusaba is involved in many charitable community projects so you can go on tours of the local community that borders the Sabi Sand Reserve to learn more about their traditions and customs.

At the Aroma Boma spa treatment rooms you can enjoy a range of relaxing and revitalising treatments and massages, with the added choice of enjoying all these treatments in the privacy of your suite at the Cliff Lodge.

The Cub's Club is based at the Rock Lodge and offers special entertainment for children up to the age of 11. Activities are tailored to each group's needs and this includes special kid’s meals. Children will receive a Cub's Club backpack full of goodies to entertain them, and you can also request complimentary babysitting for smaller children.

Dining

Mealtimes at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge are always a memorable experience, with resident chefs preparing a range of unique African delicacies and international favourites. Relax in your private dining area and enjoy your meals, paired with top South African wines, or French Champagne if you feel like having a romantic dinner for two.

The chefs are also happy to accommodate special dietary needs and requirements and the Cub's Club will ensure that children enjoy meals especially suited to them.

Cliff Lodge Suite

The two suites at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge are best enjoyed as a unit, and include the luxury of having your own chef and ultimate privacy.

Both suites have a spacious lounge with fireplace, a television with DVD player and a selection of DVDs as well as a pair of binoculars. Rooms are elegantly decorated with traditional South African pieces and create a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the magnificent views.

Other Room Types

Cliff Lodge 1 features a main en suite bedroom and a smaller, second en suite room for either one adult or two children. The main bedroom boasts a king-size bed and opens out into the lounge area. You'll also enjoy access to a private kitchen, bar and an outside deck with a barbecue and small gym/spa area for private treatments.

Cliff Lodge 2 consists of one beautiful en suite bedroom with a private Jacuzzi, and is ideal for a couple.
