overview

Lying on an island encircled by game-packed floodplains and overlooking Chief's Island, Moremi Crossing is an authentic Okavango Delta tented safari camp and is accessible only by boat. Enjoy a spectacular view over the permanently flowing Boro River from the large open-plan deck of the main building or relax and read a book in the comfort and privacy of the spacious deck, tucked-away lounge areas or around the swimming pool.

The focus here is on the area's abundant wildlife: be guided silently through the winding waterways by experienced wildlife guides in search of animals and birdlife or go for a walking safari on Chief’s Island for an opportunity to spot larger game such as elephant, giraffe, wild dog and lion. Sunset motorboat cruises exploring the channels of the Boro River should not be missed while for a unique experience, try an island camping expedition under the stars.

Traveller Reviews

  • The location is great, with beautuful view on the delta and the tent was very comfortable. Activities are completely different from the other lodges, but extremely interesting: the walking safari on Chief's island gives you a special perspective and sensations to explore the bush.
