Chelinda Lodge stands at the centre of Malawi's wild and remote Nyika National Park. Lying on a spectacular plateau, Nyika's high altitude grasslands and Afro-montane forests are a complete contrast to the low-lying Lake Malawi area, and provide an entirely different experience to the rest of Malawi - and indeed to most of Southern Africa.
Set in a pocket of pine forest with beautiful views over Nyika's grasslands, Chelinda Lodge is a cosy and atmospheric haven in this chilly mountain wilderness. Days at Chelinda can be spent on game drives and guided nature walks where you're likely to see large herds of roan and eland antelope and Crawshay's zebra. Exciting night drives offer a great opportunity to spot hyena, serval cat and side-striped jackal. You can also explore the area by mountain bike or go fly-fishing in the network of trout-stocked lakes close to the lodge.
