Facilities

The cleverly laid-out public areas at POD include a sun terrace with long rim-flow pool overlooking the beach, a stylish bar for cocktails and ocean sunsets plus chic lounge areas with Wifi connectivity.

Take advantage of the beach service so that your beach umbrella, towels, beach bats and deck chairs are waiting for you on Camps Bay beach when you wander down in your own time. Each floor at POD has a lounge and work station if you want to be a bit more private and catch up on some emailing or work.

Dining

POD serves delicious continental breakfasts which can be enjoyed in the elegant dining area or out on the terrace overlooking Camps Bay beach.

A short walk to the ever-popular Camps Bay promenade offers a variety of cafes and restaurants to enjoy lunches, dinners and cocktails, while the greater Cape Town area has a number of excellent gourmet dining establishments ideal for any occasion - just ask the staff at POD for their recommendations.

Mountain Room

POD has a number of superbly styled and decorated rooms and suites, each of which enjoys sea or mountain views or indeed both. Each features modern facilities such as air conditioning, WiFi connectivity, satellite TV, DVD player and an iPod docking station.

Other Room Types

At the very least, try to get one of the Classic or Luxury Rooms, complete with private balconies and magnificent views of Cape Town’s mountains and in the case of the Luxury Rooms, the sea as well.

Several of the Luxury Rooms open onto a larger terrace with a private plunge pool and views of the beach, but for a truly sophisticated Cape Town experience.

The Deluxe Suites are decadent, private and enjoy absolutely incredible views of Camps Bay beach. Each suite has a bedroom and lounge area opening onto a private terrace, an incredibly spacious bathroom and en suite dressing area for an added air of indulgence and luxury.

  • Pod was so convenient for everything. We grew to appreciate the exquisite style of the property and liked the laid back owner who paid attention to every detail. We swam, the only guests to have done so, I think! Camps Bay was possibly more suitable for a younger couple who like rowdy bars but we did appreciate being able to walk out to a restaurant of an evening when we'd had enough of driving.
