overview

Experience life on safari at a classic tented camp in an unspoilt and little-visited part of Botswana - Migration Camp is located in the magnificent Nxai Pan National Park, part of the vast Kalahari and home to huge open skies and excellent game viewing. The camp's walk-in tents recall an earlier, more romantic past and provide plenty of comfort as well, and with only four tents on offer, Migration Camp can be booked in its entirety by a family or group of friends.

Enjoy early morning and afternoon game drives in open-sided 4X4s and marvel at the spectacular diversity of wildlife, a beguiling mix of desert and savannah species. Predators are well represented at Nxai Pan, and at no time more than during the December - April summer season when large numbers of animals, particularly zebra, migrate into the area. Combine with a stay in the well-watered Okavango Delta for a study in contrasts.

Migration Camp is a simple yet comfortable tented bush camp with walk-in tents and a separate dining tent in the true spirit of African exploration.

Much of the socialising and story-swopping takes place around the campfire where the camp's expert guides will provide entertainment and commentary on the Nxai Pan environment.

Early morning and afternoon game drives are conducted in sturdy, open 4X4 vehicles, and your guide may also fit in an excursion to the majestic Baine's Baobabs, located close by.

Traveller Reviews

  • The Migration Camp, within 20mts after Elly picking us up at the airstrip we saw cheetah & cubs. The food was great and we enjoyed our stay.

  • WOW! What a trip! It was absolutely amazing and we can't thank you enough for all of your help! From the beginning, I believe I requested an exclusive, luxurious, once in a lifetime experience and you delivered! It was worth every penny. The attention to detail was rather quite amazing. At Migration, we were the only guests at the entire camp and at Baraza, what a brilliant way to end our safari journey.
