Located on the edge of the Siria escarpment and overlooking the Mara River, Kilima Camp offers guests an exceptional opportunity to experience the Masai Mara. Kilima, meaning 'mountains' or 'little hill' in Swahili, offers stylish tented suites in an intimate setting. The camp has a strong eco tourism ethos with a partnership with the local community and conservation efforts.

Enjoy exciting game drives, guided bush walks and even hot-air balloon trips over the Mara plains while staying at Kilima Camp. Excursions to the nearby community school and Masai manyatta can also be arranged. While the area is great for year-round game viewing, from July to October guests here can witness the Great Migration, a time when one million wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River.

Kilima offers guests the chance to indulge in a selection of classical or Maasai spa treatments – from massages to facials – whilst looking out onto the scenic splendour of the Masai Mara.

With champagne in hand, guests will be hard pressed to find a better way to unwind.

Dining

There is a spacious, central tent that has been divided into two restaurants, bar lounge, and library making it a great focal point for drinks, meals and relaxation.

Lunch is usually served a la carte, and dinner offers guests the opportunity to enjoy African specialities as well as more classic dishes. When a special event requires, spit roasted goat or lamb is prepared by the Maasai on a wood fire and accompanied by a selection of vegetables and chapati bread. Drinks can be taken alongside the campfire or around the bush bar.

Classic Tent

The recently built Classic tents are a spacious, comfortable option for families with small children who don't want to upgrade to the Deluxe Tents. These tents have wooden floors, en suite bathrooms with running hot showers, and stunning views of the Mara River.

There are 6 standard tented suites stylishly decorated with en suite bathrooms and private verandas. The suites also features double or twin beds and an additional camp bed for families.

Two deluxe tents offer sleeping space for 5 guests and comprise a private wooden deck with en suite bathrooms and hot/cold water and flush toilets.
