Dining

The Dash restaurant and bar is Queen Victoria's in-house restaurant, and gets its name from the Queen's favourite pet. You can look forward to sophisticated fine dining and a menu that is structured around classic French cuisine. The chefs make wonderful use of seasonal ingredients and all items are sourced locally - except for the luxurious caviar. Most of the furniture pieces found in the restaurant were sourced from local designers and you can decide to sit either inside or on the veranda, either way enjoying an intimate, delicious meal.

Classic Room

The Queen Victoria Hotel consists of 35 rooms, five of which are suites. All the rooms are decorated with marble-clad walls, crystal chandeliers, and wooden parquet flooring. Rooms enjoy either views of the harbour or Table Mountain and each is individually designed.

The luxury rooms are spacious and stylish and you'll find a fully stocked mini-bar, luxurious Molton Brown accessories, and decor featuring laser-cut, paper-on-paper artwork of local fynbos. Rooms also have flat-screen televisions, wireless internet, and bedding that is made from 400-thread pure Egyptian cotton.

  • The hotel in Cape Town was very nice as well; location right at the waterfront was perfect. The staff at the hotel was very professional and helped pick restaurants and arranged taxis etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Beautifully decorated with crystal chandeliers and a dramatic white marble spiral staircase. A true first-class location in a slightly quieter part of the Waterfront."
