This spectacular east coast resort offers luxurious accommodation and top-class restaurants all set on a long stretch of white sandy beach. The main focus of Long Beach is its urban-style piazza complete with restaurants, shops and bars. Day-long entertainment is provided by contemporary music and nightly live shows feature a variety of local talents. The Bambora Nightclub offers late-night dancing with a DJ spinning something for everyone.

Long Beach offers a wide variety of ocean activities to suit everyone: free watersports include glass-bottomed boats, kayaks, laser sailing boats, paddle boats, snorkelling, wind surfing, sailing and aqua-gym while available at an additional cost are big banana rides, tube rides, sunset cruises, big-game fishing, parasailing, waterskiing and undersea walks. Mauritius is a scuba diver's paradise that's perfect for beginners as well as experienced divers. There are also plenty of land activities on offer: guests can choose from volleyball, table tennis, badminton, five-a-side football, a skating path, wall-climbing and three floodlit tennis courts.

Facilities

There is no shortage of facilities and activities available to guests at Long Beach - there are no fewer than three swimming pools for example - one freshwater, one heated and one lap pool.

Choose from a range of sports that includes tennis, yoga, badminton, bocciball, five-a-side football, volleyball, table tennis, archery, pitch and putt and wall climbing. There is also a fully equipped gym at Long Beach.

Free watersports include kayaks, laser sailing boats, glass-bottomed boat trips, snorkelling, wind surfing, aqua gym classes and water polo; for an additional fee you can further enjoy scuba diving, (PADI open-water courses available) big-game fishing, parasailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, banana rides and water skiing.

On those days you are feeling less active, treat yourself to a treatment at the Sea Spa; on the days that you're up for a challenge, you have access to the spectacular golf course on Ile aux Cerfs.

Dining

Long Beach features five top-class restaurants, all of which offer different yet equally delightful culinary experiences. Arranged around the central piazza or on the beach, there is something to suit every mood and taste. If you can’t bring yourself to move from the beach, there is also a 'beach trolley' that serves light snacks and refreshments under your thatched umbrella.

Le Marché, a buffet-style restaurant, offers delicious dishes served to the accompaniment of different lights, colours, music and aromas that make dining here a wonderfully theatrical experience.

Il Sapori is an Italian restaurant serving dishes made from high-quality foods and decorated to provide a 'fresh from the farm' ambience.

Hasu serves authentic Japanese cuisine and features a central sushi, grill and yakitory bar as well as private and semi-private dining areas.

Chopsticks, a modern, casual Chinese restaurant, blends east and west and classic and contemporary flavours without compromising on the delicate flavours and aromas of authentic Chinese cooking.

Tides features an amazing selection of fresh fish, sourced both locally and abroad. The cuisine is inspired by regional and local ingredients and accented with spices from around the globe. This restaurant also features a feet-in-the-sand club and bar and serves pub-style snacks.

Standard Sea View Room

Each room at Long Beach has a sea view, is stylishly decorated and has a comfortable king-size bed, luxurious en suite bathroom, flat-screen TV, iPod station and WiFi internet access. All rooms also feature individually controlled air conditioning and a fully-stocked mini bar.

Other Room Types

Book one of the larger Beachfront Rooms for more space and to ensure you are only a few footsteps from the beach. The Beachfront Suites are located on the ground floor and have a spacious lounge that leads straight onto your private terrace and directly onto the beach.

Families traveling together will appreciate the Family Rooms with their two separate bedrooms: one en suite master bedroom and another bedroom with two beds and a bathroom with a shower. However, all rooms have an extra sleeper couch and inter-leading rooms are available.
