Situated in the award-winning Ol Kinyei Conservancy, this eco-friendly tented camp leaves the barest of footprints on the ground. Designed on the classic principles of a mobile safari camp, Porini Bush Camp is exclusively operational from July to October – the duration of the Great Migration through this part of the Mara. In September, it is dismantled and the location returned to nature without a trace of the camp left behind.
The Great Migration is one of the greatest spectacles in Africa and the world. In one of the world’s oldest ecosystems in a rhythm as old as time, over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelles move with the rains and sweet new grasses across the Mara and Serengeti. This abundance of prey means healthy populations of predators throughout the migration path, including all Africa’s big cats.
Porini Bush Camp offers you access to the Masai Mara National Reserve and the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy in an atmosphere as close to the original safaris of Hemingway’s era as possible. Taking a nature walk in the care of Masai guides is highly recommended – encounter this land through the eyes of its sons, the ones who carry its secrets in their very marrow. Rugged, rustic and comfortable, Porini Bush Camp is ideal for adventurers and those in search of undiluted wildlife drama.
