South African Airways (SAA)

The national carrier of South Africa, SAA is the country's largest domestic and international airline. In-flight service is considered generally good, with food quality notably above-standard.

SAA is one of the few airlines that flies to South America from Africa.

Virgin Atlantic

Operating from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom, Virgin Atlantic operates long-haul routes between the UK and Africa as well as to the Caribbean, Middle East, Asia, Australia and North America.

Catchy marketing and planes with all the modcons are the trademark of Richard Branson's airline.

British Airways (BA)

BA is one of the largest airlines in the world, and operates more flights from Europe across the Atlantic than any other operator. BA flights are generally considered very comfortable and to have good service.

Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM)

KLM (Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij, or Royal Aviation Company) is a subsidiary of Air France-KLM, the main airline of the Netherlands, and the oldest airline in the world. The airline operates out of the main hub of Schipol Airport, near Amsterdam. KLM are generally considered to have friendly staff and excellent product.

United Airlines

United Airlines is a major airline of the United States, operating out of Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. United Airlines codeshares with SAA. Our consolidated fares include USA add-ons to Los Angeles, San Francisco and others. Some say that it is not worth the premium to fly first-class on United Airlines.

Delta Airlines

Delta flies to more destinations than any other airline and is one of the largest in the world in terms of number of passengers carried.

Qantas

Qantas (formerly Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services) is Australia's oldest and largest airline. Qantas flies to all continents except for South America. Most passengers are impressed by their experience of Qantas Airlines.

Air France

Air France (Compagnie Nationale Air France) is headquartered at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport near Paris. As a result of Air France taking over KLM, Air France has become a subsidiary of Air France-KLM.

The parent company is the world's largest airline company in terms of operating revenues, and the largest in Europe in passenger-kilometres.

Lufthansa

Lufthansa (Deutsche Lufthansa AG) is the national airline of Germany. Headquartered in Cologne, but operating primarily out of Frankfurt International Airport, Lufthansa operates more than 400 aircraft. In 2005 the airline served over 51 million passengers.

Nationwide Airlines

Based in South Africa, Nationwide flies mainly domestic routes within the country, though it also offers flights to Livingstone in Zambia and to London Gatwick.

Nationwide was the first South African airline to use the Boeing 737-500, which it introduced in February 2005. Customers are generally pleased with their experiences of Nationwide - the airline's food is reputed to be particularly good.

Kenya Airways

Headquartered at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi, the national airline of Kenya operates flights throughout Africa as well as to Europe and Asia. The airline was founded in January 1977 after East Africa Airways disbanded following the breakup of the East African Community.

Air Namibia

Air Namibia is the national airline of Namibia, headquartered at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport. Air Namibia operates domestic flights within Namibia, regional flights within Southern Africa, and long-haul flights to London Gatwick and Frankfurt.

Air Seychelles

The national airline of the island nation of Seychelles, based on Mahé Island, the state-owned Air Seychelles operates inter-island flights as well as international ones. Air Seychelles flies between Mahé and Frankfurt, Johannesburg, London, Malé, Mauritius, Mumbai, Paris, Rome, St Denis, Singapore and Zurich.

Air Mauritius

Based in the capital of Port Louis, Air Mauritius is the national airline of the island nation of Mauritius. Air Mauritius flies domestic routes between Mauritius and Rodrigues. It also runs a broad network of international routes.

Air Botswana

Air Botswana, the national airline of Botswana, is based in Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) in Gaborone. Air Botswana operates international flights to Windhoek, Harare and Johannesburg, as well as domestic flights within Botswana. They also run services to and from the town of Maun, which is the gateway to the Okavango Delta.
