About Me

I am a born and bred Capetonian and feel privileged to have grown up in such a stunning city. Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for travel and exploring new places, and this is what prompted me to attain a Diploma in Travel and Tourism after school, and also what led me to move to the UK for four years.

I loved this opportunity as I was able to experience different cultures and broaden my horizons by travelling extensively throughout the United Kingdom and western Europe. There is, however, no place like home and I soon found myself been drawn back to the sunny shores of Cape Town.

Most weekends you will find me visiting different wine farms and restaurants, or finding a new corner of South Africa to explore.

Where I have travelled

In 2016 I undertook an incredible mobile camping trip to Botswana, taking in Chobe, Savute and the Okavango Delta, before finishing up at Victoria Falls. You can read about my experience in my blog post.

I have also been fortunate enough to two amazing trips to four of South Africa's top parks and reserves. Have a look at our South Africa Safari photos, featuring the Kruger National Park, Madikwe Private Game Reserve, the Eastern Cape and Pilanesberg National Park. I also travelled along the scenic Garden Route and ended with a safari in the Eastern Cape. Have a look at my trip photos here.

Locally, I have had the opportunity to explore the best of South Africa such as the Overberg, West Coast and Sun City.

In Africa, I have visited Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Mauritius and Madagascar.

Internationally, I have also been fortunate to travel most of the UK, Europe, the United States, Ireland, Scotland, the United Arab Emirates and Thailand.

My favourite travel moment

Definitely too many to mention but one of my biggest highlights was kayaking on Lake Malawi!

What I love about Africa

I love the diverse culture, the people and the amazing wildlife.

Where I'd love to go next

I would love to travel to the Seychelles and Tanzania.

We are back in Angola and everything went perfectly. First of all I would like to thank you for your professionalism since the beginning of this trip. Your recommendations have been very good and exactly what we were looking for. Let's start with a detail review. Our car rental in South Africa was in very good condition with only 2000 km on the clock. The xtrail was a good choice for this 2400 km trip. Mosselberg on Grotto Beach was a very nice guesthouse with a good chef who was very kind to prepare something proper for our son. There was a nice view from the room. Hermanus is a top place to stay for a few days of relaxing. Kwandwe Ecca Lodge - what an amazing experience. I can't say anything bad about this place and we could have stayed there for the entire week. It's a great place to travel with young children. The reserve is very good, the safari experience is nice (all kind of mammals and birds) and rangers make the safari a unique moment. Thank you for this recommendation we hope to return as soon as possible. Franschhoek Country House and Villas was a very nice place to stay near the vineyards. It had a very good spa and a nice restaurant. Out apartment in Cape Town had a very good location near the waterfront. We are already thinking on our next trip to Namibia in 2017. We shall get back to you soon! Regards and congratulations.
