Sharon Kemp - Welcome to my page!

About Me

I have been a Durban girl for most of my upbringing until recently, where  I believe I made the right decision to follow my husband's dream and move to the beautiful Mother City, Cape Town.

I love spending time with family and friends and nothing has made that more apparent than with my move. I always wanted to travel and it was all oddly enough from my sporting background and wanted to go all over and watch sport from different arenas.

Where have I travelled?

In South Africa: Battlefields of Kwa-Zulu Natal; Drakensburg; Eastern Cape; Garden Route and Cape Town and Kruger. In Africa I have had the privilege of going to Botswana and experiencing the rolling "sea" of wilderness.

Internationally I've visited the UK, France and Madrid.

My favourite travel moment

This is a very difficult one to say as there have been many magical moments!  I would have to say that one of my most memorable moments was on honeymoon in Phinda Forest Lodge and not even 10 minutes into our evening game drive, did we happen to "bump" into my favourite member of the Big 5, an elusive leopard perched in the fork of a tree with its meal close by! It was a sight to behold!

I also have to mention an elephant interaction I was privileged to experience in Botswana. It was daunting to stand next to this mammoth animal but interacting with Jabu the elephant was something I'll never forget.

What I love about Africa

The diversity of Africa is truly mind-boggling and wish I could see, touch, taste and experience  more!

Some  African travel advice

Make sure you bring along an adventurous spirit to experience all that is on offer; a camera to capture those memorable moments (with lots of memory sticks) and suntan lotion!

Where I'd love to go next

Again, this is a tough one as there are so many spectacular sites in Africa. I would love to see the great migration in the Serengeti; one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Nature, Victoria Falls and then there's the natural beauty of the Indian Ocean Islands.

It is always a great day in Africa!  Nothing can beat the sensations that being in the African bush arouses; the smells, the sounds and the sights will entice you to return again and again.

Read what our Travellers have to say

South Africa was fantastic.  With regards to our holiday, I couldn't have asked for better.  Everything was fantastic.  The hotel, location, food and especially all the people, were exceptional. When we arrived in Sun City the hotel and it's staff were also very helpful.  Initially they had us roomed on 2 separate floors, however upon request the hotel staff were able to juggle the rooms around and ended up putting us in 5 rooms side by side.  It was perfect.  The accommodation itself was beautiful and it was very convenient.  I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.  It was very close to the casino, golf course and the valley of waves. Sharon, in summary the holiday was incredible and I would highly recommend the shuttle bus service, hotel and everything at Sun City for those who have a few days to spare.  If I have the opportunity again I would take my family to Sun City. I couldn't have asked for a better travel agent.  Your service was exceptional.  From the first enquiry to you until the last day of the holiday, your service was well and truly the best customer service I have ever experienced.  Thank you for a fantastic and stress free holiday experience. I would love to come back to South Africa with my family sometime in the future.
