Natasha Wilmot - Welcome to my page

About Me

I was born in Botswana and have lived in Missouri, Franschhoek and Hout Bay. Maun in Botswana is currently my home.

Over the years I have managed to travel to the USA, Israel, Dubai, UK, Australia, New Zealand, St Helena Island, Thailand, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Comoros and the Seychelles. In Africa, I have spent time in South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia.

Travel would be high on my lists of likes (however, now being a mum I have done a lot less of late). My hobbies include photography, metal detecting, snorkelling and horse riding. I also really enjoy being out in nature, gardening and reading.

Where I have travelled

Locally, I've travelled throughout the Western, Northern and Eastern Cape provinces in South Africa, traversed South Africa from the northern borders with Botswana down to Cape Town, and been to the Drakensberg and kwaZulu-Natal coast. In 2016 I spent an enjoyable week visiting camps and lodges in the Sabie Sands and Thornybush reserves around the Kruger National Park.

My favourite travel moment

Meeting a lone Maasai man walking across the Serengeti in the middle of nowhere!

What I love about Africa

The freedom we still have here. There are places in Botswana that still truly feel wild to me.

My best African travel advice

Ask the locals, they often know best!

I love nothing more than throwing in a bed role and tent and heading down the road to see what is around the next corner!

Many thanks to Natasha and Go2Africa for the perfect service. The trip has been amazing. Having seen the bush from above, by 4x4, by mokoro and by walking has offered us unique perspectives on Africa (Botswana). Sadly we did not spot any leopards or rhinos but we still enjoyed every second of the trip. The camp connections were very smooth and we could enjoy the camps beauty until the planes departed. Almost no waiting time.

We are very thankful that you have made recommendations to us. It will be a lasting memory to my wife and myself. We enjoyed every minute of the trip, it was almost too much too handle at times. We both hope we can return when the Delta is flooded to see a very different beauty. Now we have to sort our hundreds of photos and hopefully can relive some of the special moments of this trip. We are not sure when we can go next but we certainly have Go2Africa in mind when we do decide to start planning. A very big THANK YOU to you for having assisted us so well from start to end. Perfect service! We felt in very safe hands from the start and could not be more pleased with our 1st Africa experience.
