Tatham Liprini - Welcome to my profile!
I’ve lived in Cape Town, Thailand and California and I always find myself returning to Africa. I just cannot seem to get enough of it.
When I was young I was lucky enough to go on many family holidays so my passion for travel developed at a young age and only grew stronger as I grew older. I have always been known to my family and friends as a wonderer always looking to explore new and exciting places as often as I possibly can. Besides travel my other passions are hiking, surfing and the beach. One of my favourite ways to spend a day is to spend it on the beach soaking up the African sun with a good book.
Where have I travelled?
In South Africa I have spent many holidays in Knysna and the rest of the Garden Route, road tripping to Plettenberg Bay, Addo Elephant Park, Saint Francis Bay, Jeffreys Bay and the Eastern Cape. I have spent some time on family holidays in Durban, the Wild Coast as well as the Transkei. I have travelled to Sun City, Gold Reef City and Johannesburg.
I had the opportunity to work in the USA for 6 months and made the most of it by doing a road trip from San Francisco eventually ending in Houston Texas about 2 months later. I spent a year working in Thailand so I was able to explore it thoroughly and visit many of the neighbouring countries of Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Burma, Indonesia and India
My favourite travel moment
It is so hard to pin down a specific travel moment as there have been so many. From sitting with my family at the Knysna heads watching the sunset, surfing in Plettenberg Bay, quad biking in the Namibian desert, bathing elephants in Thailand, zip lining through tropical rain forests, diving with whale sharks and dolphins and experiencing the Holi festival in India.
What I love about Africa
Besides Africa’s exquisite beauty I absolutely love the rich and diverse culture that Africa has to offer. Each African country offers something completely unique. Africa provides the perfect location for a completely diverse vacation from spending time in the bush scouting for wildlife to relaxing in the sun on a white sand beach.
