My Travel Recommendations

I'd love to inspire you with my travel recommendations. From authentic tented safari camps all over Kenya and Tanzania, to trekking with the gorillas in Uganda, here are my favourites.

  • Adventurer Kilimanjaro Lemosho Climb

Adventurer Kilimanjaro Lemosho Crater via Stella Climb

    Location: Tanzania - Kilimanjaro

"Lemosho offers hikers the best views of all the routes to the top of Kilimanjaro. It is the longest, but rewards you with minimal traffic, and grand panoramic visas on different sides of the mountain. The extra days to acclimatise mean a higher summit success rate!"

  • Adventurer Uganda & Rwanda Gorilla Trek

    Uganda & Rwanda Primate Explorer

Location: Rwanda - Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda - Kigali, Uganda - Bwindi National Park

"This trip combines three very distinct gorilla trekking locations from Northern Bwindi offering a combination of luxury forest floor tented accommodation in Buhoma, to a luxury lodge in Nkuringo, Southern Bwindi which overlooks Rwanda, and of course Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park itself. Perfect for adventure seekers that prefer a high level of service and hospitality as well as the best locations!"

  • The Boma Entebbe

    The Boma Entebbe Expert Opinion

    Location: Uganda - Entebbe

"The Boma is so convenient when arriving late into Entebbe and leaving very early the next day. This guesthouse is only a few minutes from the International Airport and will ensure you have a comfortable and clean overnight stay before heading on to the Gorillas or the National Parks."

  • Adventurer Uganda Gorillas, Culture & Wildlife

Uganda Fly-In Gorillas, Culture & Wildlife

Location: Uganda - Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda - Bwindi National Park

"The views from Clouds will take your breath away, it really does feel like you are in the setting of Gorillas in the Mist whilst you stay at this luxury lodge in the Southern Bwindi Forest. Don’t forget your safari experience from Queen Elizabeth National Park, consider adding on a trek to the Chimps in the Kyambura Gorge"

  • Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp

    Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp

    Location: Tanzania - Ngorongoro Crater

"I love the authentic safari tent experience that still offers elements of luxury, even better this fairly new camp is located on the rim of the crater, and is the perfect option for the discerning traveller wanting to stay in an intimate tented camp. Enjoy being one of the first to descend to the Crater floor for your game drives and soak up the personalised service and fine hospitality offered"

As a photographer I often get stuck behind the lens. Take time out to just experience Africa, its sounds, smells, sights and its magic. You will be back before you know it.

Read what our Travellers have to say

Hey Emma.... still not caught up after our trip, but I wanted to drop you a line and let you know that everything was wonderful. Can't say enough about the plan you put together and how wonderful all the venues and our contact people were. The different locations were all special in their own way. One of my hopes was to have good guides for our excursions, and the guides at all three locations were outstanding, as were our hosts at each of the venues! The facilities themselves were also top notch! Buhoma was gorgeous. The Porini camp in Amboseli, while not as fancy as some, was excellent for individualized attention and amazing animal viewing. Finishing at Kichwa was a treat, as we enjoyed the buffet, beverages, pool, etc.

You were right on in all your choices and plans for us, and I would enthusiastically recommend you to anyone I know who wants to travel to East Africa!

I must also say I am so glad we took part in the Community Cultural Tour. While I wouldn't have chosen that for myself, it gave great insight into the people of the area. We toured the school outside Buhoma, and as a teacher, I was really overwhelmed by how appreciative and joyful the children are, even though they have so little. It was a real eye-opener for our family.

Anyway, thanks for everything. It was an amazing trip of a lifetime! Again, I would recommend you enthusiastically to anyone planning a trip to Africa. I don't know if I will ever have the opportunity to return, but if I ever do, I will be in touch!
