About me

They say that, ‘Home is where the heart is’ and that could not be truer for me and the passion I have for Africa. Combining my travel experience and sharing my enthusiasm with those wanting to explore Africa, I love customising, designing and delivering a seamless, perfect vacation experience for my clients. With access to exclusive travel offers and ensuring the best value for money, I go the extra mile and always try to exceed expectations. This ensures I provide a personalised African dream for each and every one of my clients. Having been with Go2Africa since 2010, I find that my interest in African travel still grows with each passing day.

Motivated and inspired by my country and my career, I am a perfectionist and ensure the best in value and experience. This flows through my work and into each individual client experience. By building and maintaining relationships with my clients, profiling each individual and combining my work ethic and experience, their journey with Go2Africa continues before, during and after travel.

Being passionate about my job is the easy part – who could not be passionate and inspired by what Africa has to offer? There is not a day that goes by that I do not appreciate Africa and all it has to offer.

Where I have travelled

As an African Safari Expert at Go2Africa I work with both the business and our travel partners while continuously taking on new destinations to broaden my travel experience and knowledge. We have a diverse portfolio of properties that I sell with confidence, having experienced most of them first-hand.

I have travelled extensively throughout South and Southern and East Africa and also specialise in Mozambique and the Indian Ocean islands such as Mauritius, the Seychelles and Zanzibar.

In 2015 I travelled to some of the top safari and beach destinations in East Africa including Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. In 2016, I travelled to south-central Mozambique, Vilanculos and the Bazaruto Archipelago. I also did a bush-and-beach experience through kwaZulu-Natal in South Africa - this self-drive adventure combined a Big 5 safari with the teeming Indian Ocean.

My favourite travel moment

Every travel experience has a unique special moment: I remember fondly being on the top of Table Mountain, being on a Big 5 Kruger safari, travelling along the banks of the Zambezi River and exploring the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

What I love about Africa

Africa is more than a destination: it is a world of exploration, adventure and an opportunity to change your life.

My best African travel advice

Embrace all of Africa – the people, the culture, the food, the experience!

Where I'd love to go next

Rwanda and Uganda for the unique nature experience as well as the superb chimp and gorilla trekking. Back to Southern Africa for a safari that includes Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia or an exclusive beach experience back in Mozambique. The Indian Ocean islands are also calling my name!

Africa will change your life. It has changed mine and continues to each day, but my true inspiration is knowing how other lives have been changed by their African experience. Enabling each client that opportunity to share in the African dream inspires me every day.

Read what our Travellers have to say

Our trip to Africa was spectacular and we want to say thank you for all that you did to make our vacation with Jason and Sydney so special.

The accommodations were excellent; the transport to and from various places worked well; the tours were excellent - we particularly enjoyed the day-trip to the Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach etc; Robben Island was a very touching experience. Thornybush was first-rate and we saw the Big 5 and just about everything else imaginable. The Islands at Siankaba were also superb - Jason caught a tigerfish (not huge but perhaps 2-3 kilos); Sydney and Rona visited the local village; Jason discovered the gorge swing and associated ‘action’ so he, Sydney, and I spent half a day jumping off cliffs and flying out into space on a line. The Chobe experience was also excellent, although our driver in the afternoon seemed to be a bit in a hurry to complete the route, so we simply asked him to stop for pictures a few times. Hippos in the Chobe River were spectacular.

People at each stop were very gracious and willing to help in every possible way; food was superb at Thornybush and the Islands (and laundry service all worked as anticipated).

I am sure I could go on and on. Before too much time elapsed, we wanted to let you know how well everything went and how much we appreciate all of your efforts to suggest where to go, what to see, where to stay etc, while answering all of our questions and covering all of the bases. Thanks so much.
