Leanne Rodney - Welcome to my profile!
About Me
I have done the classic 'South African thing' and spent some time living and working in London which was an great experience from start to finish. It really opened up my way of thinking, not because I lived in London specifically, but just because being in another country and learning about different cultures broadened my outlook on life considerably!
It was also after my return from the UK that I decided to go into tourism; what else is better than focusing on your home country, promoting it with a passion and selling it along with other amazing African destinations?
I love the bush and every part of it, and I get excited when I am offered the opportunity to make someone’s safari dream come true. Africa is a unique destination: you can visit many other countries, have a great time and tick it off your list, but Africa, once you have been here, creeps under your skin and leaves you longing to return some day.
Where have I travelled
I've visited the Garden Route, Eastern Cape, Kruger Park, Sun City, Madikwe, the Panorama Route and the Cape Winelands. I have also lived and worked in the UK.
My favourite travel moment
Standing on a dam wall in the Kruger during a game drive and enjoying sundowners with three inquisitive hippos coming closer to 'inspect' us. This was complemented by a breath-taking African sunset and I wished I could have stayed there forever.
What I love about Africa
The bush with its calmness and chilled-out lifstyle! Along with this comes fantastic wildlife encounters from the smallest dwarf mongoose to the largest elephant – I love to see them all!
Some African travel advice
Check the entry requirements into the countries you wish to visit and leave the planning of your exciting vacation to the experts. Why stress about it when we can do it all?
Where I'd love to go next
I would love to experience a Southern African safari, which is quite different from safari in South Africa and much wilder. I'm dying to see Botswana and Namibia!
