Sharlaine Assur - Welcome to my profile!
Cape Town is my home town, I live here and still do everything that a visitor does. I am a true local, a sucker for adventure and absolutely love being outdoors. I am truly blessed to have the privilege of living in such an awesome and beautiful city, a city with a diverse range of people, attractions, sights and activities to offer.
I completed my Diploma in Tourism in 2006 and was so excited to start my career in travel, as I have a passion for the industry and for people. My aspiration is to show people the rich diversity and beauty Africa has to offer.
Where have I travelled
I have extensively travelled within South Africa - Cape Town, the Garden Route, Johannesburg, Durban, the Overberg, Kruger National Park, Eastern Cape, Sun City and Pilanesberg National Park.
My favourite travel moment
One of my absolute favourite travel moments was in the Kruger National Park with my trip to Singita Ebony Lodge being one of my most memorable holidays. It was my first safari experience and it lived up to all my expectations. On my first drive I managed to see elephant, rhino, buffalo and lion within 30 minutes of departure. I was astonished but pleasantly surprised about how close we got to the animals. Being in the wild really gives one a deep appreciation for nature.
What I love about Africa
South Africa and Africa both bubble with wonderful, culturally diverse people. A colourful canvas of different foods, religions, beliefs and traditions are blended together to make up the amazing nation of the people. These characters, complemented by our continent's beautiful landscape, abundant wildlife and breathtaking coastline, are the reasons that Africa touches people’s hearts in a special way, whether you live here or are visiting on holiday. What is not to love about Africa!

Where I'd love to go next
I am an all time fan for the wild bush and tropical beaches. I would definitely love to embark on an adventure trip to East Africa and would enjoy the laidback Indian Ocean islands, just chilling on the beaches of Zanzibar, Seychelles, Mozambique or Mauritius.
