  • This has been an absolutely wonderful trip. On most of the safari drives we saw good stuff.  The highlights at Sabi Sand were the nine baby lions, the wild dogs, the rhinos, the baby hyena, and the young leopard. We loved the first two nights of the dhow safari, the private island was perfect.  Because of the winds, we spent night three and night four on an inhabited island (Qurimizi) but we were in a bad location on that island (in the center of the island away from the coast).  We visited the little village, gave them most of our clothes, and donated the school supplies to their school (they needed it more than the Ibo Island school).  Our three nights on Ibo Island were fantastic.  Then...the highlight of the entire trip.  The Coral Lodge is AWESOME!  We had a chance to see the Villa Sands yesterday, and although it's a nice hotel, the Coral Lodge is a resort, and more suitable for our needs. You've planned out a wonderful trip for us.  Thank you.

  • Had the most fantastic trip ever!  Meier was an AMAZING guide and I would highly recommend him as we saw 49 lions, 7 leopards, 2 cheetahs and countless elephants, zebras, giraffes, etc.  &Beyond was defiantly high class camping as the food was better than some 4 star restaurants we have here in Chicago and bed were comfortable as can be. Thank you for helping me with the planning of this trip as it is the best place I have been to in the world thus far.

  • WOW, Gelle is amazing. After planning a wedding, planning a holiday was the last thing we wanted to do. We had been talking to one of our friends who was also thinking about going to Africa and told us that they had been talking to Gelle Richie from Go2Africa who was based in South Africa. We emailed Gelle to see if she could help us and we got a reply back within hours asking us a few questions about what we wanted to do - time, price range, etc. The only things that we really wanted to do was see the big 5, some camping and trek with the gorillas within a 6 week period.

Not knowing much about Africa we asked Gelle what she would do. So Gelle organised us 21 day TransKalahari Adventure where we saw the Big Five and amazing landscapes. From there we went to Kenya and Tanzania where we camped in the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Now this is where Gelle came in, two things I have told everyone who is thinking about visiting Africa is to have a travel agent based in Africa and the other is only to have Gelle do it for you.

While we were on our way back from Tanzania to Nairobi in Kenya we got a email and phone call telling us about the fire at the Nairobi International Airport. Our flight was the next day at 12:40pm. Gelle gave us updates via emails and mobile phone. Having Gelle giving us information we felt comfortable that we still had our flights. Gelle also was in contact with our next tour in Uganda giving them updates so everything would run smoothly.

Also at the start of our trip we had our bags go missing at the Australian end. We let Gelle know just to give a update. Gelle was right on the case ringing the airport giving us updates via emails, this was all done outside of office hours, sometimes at 11pm at night.

Gelle, thank you so much for helping us see and experience Africa. We will be telling everyone who has been thinking about Africa to do it and go through Gelle at Go2Africa.com.

The only thing we had wish we could of done was to meet Gelle face to face.

  • Hi Gelle, firstly we'd like to say we thoroughly enjoyed our trip; thanks to your professionalism and advice, we really had a great time and enjoyed all facets of the safari. Our guide Stephen was great too, obviously after 25 yrs experience he knows his job very well. They were long tiring days, but we are not complaining- not every day you get up close and personal with elephants and lions. The accommodation at the Sopa lodges too, was generally very good as well. We had a bit of an "adventure" with 2 blown tyres but that was just another ingredient in a great trip. Once again, thanks for you input, it made the trip all the more enjoyable.

  • Hi Gelle, just wanted to send you a bit THANK YOU for organising our amazing trip to Africa. The Nomad tour was great, so many highlights... I wish I was still there. A lot of the accommodation was better than I expected, and Moremi Crossing in the Delta was definitely a highlight. I would definitely recommend this tour to others. Thanks for making all the booking process so easy and not getting sick of all my hundreds of questions before we left. We really appreciate all your help. Thank you.
