My Travel Recommendations

I'd love to inspire you with my travel recommendations. From boutique guest houses and hotels in Cape Town to thrilling safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana, here are my favourites.

  • Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

    Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp

    Location: Tanzania - Serengeti
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp is a good option for anyone wanting to be close to nature, experience the annual wildebeest migration but still keep prices within reason. The spacious tents blend in well with the environment and gives it that “authentic bush feel” ; the camp re-positions itself twice a year moving with the wildebeest migration so you have the best chances of seeing this annual spectacular!"

  • Harkness camping & Camp Okavango

    Harkness camping & Camp Okavango

    Location:
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"This tour is perfect for those wanting to experience the “real” Botswana. Spend four nights with Harkness Safaris at an exclusively set up luxury tented camp in the midst of the bush in Botswana surrounded by nothing but nature. Then continue for another three nights to a permanent water camp and experience the waterways by dugout canoe or motorboat. A unique and authentic way to experience this fantastic wildlife destination!"

  • Bisate Lodge

    Bisate Lodge

Location: Rwanda - Volcanoes National Park
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"The brand new and long awaited Wilderness Camp “Bisate” certainly has the “wow” factor! It’s a fantastic Lodge for anyone who wants to experience not only the Gorillas, but a piece of Rwanda, in terms of luxury and nature - a real gem!"

  • Ruzizi Tented Lodge

    Ruzizi Tented Lodge

    Location: Rwanda - Akagera
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"Throughout Rwanda Ruzizi was probably one of my favourite camps. It’s very authentic, down to earth with a lovely warm feel to it. Beautifully located facing the lake (watch for hippos and crocodiles!) in Akagera National Park, an incredible scenic and diverse National Park. It’s a bush camp featuring lots of natural materials like thatch, stone and wood, with wooden elevated walkways that lead you to your tent. The tents blend in so well with the environment and offers a real authentic but luxurious bush camp experience!"

  • Mboko Camp

    Mboko Camp

Location: Congo - Odzala National Park
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"With the unusual location between the Savannah and a River inside the Congo’s Odzala-Kokoua National Park, Mboko Camp offer activities suited to the area. A large number of different walks, including walking in the knee deep water as well as adventure trails are complemented by boating trips down the Lekoli River and of course the regular game drives. Apart from forest buffalo and forest elephants, you might also see the putty nose monkey and dwarf crocodiles to name but a few. Overall, a great option for guests who enjoy being active!"
