My Travel Recommendations

I'd love to inspire you with my travel recommendations. From boutique guest houses and hotels in Cape Town to thrilling safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana, here are my favourites.

  • Kigali Serena Hotel

    Kigali Serena Hotel

    Location: Rwanda - Kigali
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"This upmarket hotel is located close to the airport, and if you would like to explore the markets you are close too! I enjoyed the sumptuous buffet and the setting around the pool with its lush palm trees. It does not feel like a city hotel at all, but has more of a resort feel to it."

  • Notten's Bush Camp

    Notten's Bush Camp

    Location: South Africa - Kruger
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"Nottens is a camp that has it all; excellent location, a good price matched with superb game, a variety of activities and the personalized service of an owner managed game lodge!"

  • Lake Kivu Serena Hotel

    Lake Kivu Serena Hotel

    Location: Rwanda
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"Lake Kivu Serena Hotel is situated right on Lake Kivu with its own stretch of beach and offers beautiful lake and surrounding mountain views! This is one of the only areas where you can partake in kayaking and canoeing on Lake Kivu, a great way to experience the beautiful scenery this incredible area has to offer!"

  • Nyasirori Tented Camp

    Nyasirori Tented Camp

    Location: Tanzania - Serengeti
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"A wonderful option for families or small groups traveling together; with only 6 tents in total Nyasirori Tented Camp offers that real personal and exclusive feel of “being by yourself in the bush”! Located in one of the best game areas of the Central Serengeti you can enjoy a great wildlife experience combined with an authentic safari camp of luxury standard!"

  • Ruzizi Tented Lodge

    Ruzizi Tented Lodge

    Location: Rwanda - Akagera
    WHY I RECOMMEND IT

"Throughout Rwanda Ruzizi was probably one of my favourite camps. It’s very authentic, down to earth with a lovely warm feel to it. Beautifully located facing the lake (watch for hippos and crocodiles!) in Akagera National Park, an incredible scenic and diverse National Park. It’s a bush camp featuring lots of natural materials like thatch, stone and wood, with wooden elevated walkways that lead you to your tent. The tents blend in so well with the environment and offers a real authentic but luxurious bush camp experience!"
