Fatima Davids - Welcome to my page!
Since I'm a born-and-bred Cape Town Girl, I naturally consider Cape Town to be the best city in the world! It's got beautiful beaches, Table Mountain, friendly people, great shopping and a list of activities and sights that could go on forever!
After I matriculated I got my diploma in Travel and Tourism and have been working in the travel industry for the last seven years and really enjoy it. I love seeing different places and experiencing different cultures but no matter where I go, I still think Cape Town is the best. In my spare time I love baking and spending quality time with my family.
Where have I travelled
When it comes to local travel, I must say the Garden Route is my favourite getaway; relaxing, fun, scenic, just absolutely breathtaking and nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. I've had the opportunity to go to Sun City, WOW! really amazing lots to do, something for everyone.
My highlight was to go on safari in Madikwe Game Reserve. It was the best experience of my life! Prior to my holiday, I wasn't sure whether I would like it as I liked my TV and city life. I made sure I packed in magazines and loaded movies onto my laptop! However, when I reached the bush I was blown away by the vastness of it all, watching elephant and zebra walk by while I was lying in the bath tub. WOW! (The laptop and magazines remained packed and unused in the bag throughout my stay...)
Where in the world would anyone experience such a rare and wonderful moment? It has left an imprint on my heart forever.
Internationally - I've been to Saudi Arabia, Cairo and did an East Asia tour of Malaysia, Phuket and Bangkok. A wonderful experience but nothing compares to AFRICA!
My favourite travel moment
Lying in a bathtub filled with bubbles overlooking the Madikwe Reserve and watching elephants walking to the waterhole.
What I love about Africa
Everything... beaches, mountains, the Big 5, amazing people...
Some African travel advice

Where I'd love to go next
East Africa - I would love to do a gorilla trek, visit a Maasai Village and witness the wildebeest migration.
