  • Hi Monique,

I won’t do a novel like I did last trip but am sure you will like to hear how much we enjoyed each place we visited.

Ruckomechi Camp was fantastic and we were very lucky, as for the first night and next day we had it all to ourselves so were thoroughly spoilt by the delightful managers and staff.  Our guide, Honest, was a gem and found all that we could have hoped for, i.e. lion (females and cubs), hunting wild dogs, elephant, giraffe, etc. The birdlife was beautiful too. On our last night we were treated to a surprise sundowner with the setting sun and withseveral of the staff meeting us on a hill to watch the sun go down. Honest and the other guys did a very funny dance for us and of course we had to join in.  It was a hoot.  We were all sorry to leave and thought that Ruckomechi had to be the best place we were going to visit.

We were to realise that every camp was wonderful in its own right and each was very different which was exactly what we wanted. The managers and staff at Davison's Camp were gorgeous as well and we had another lovely guide, Brian, who found great wildlife including leopard which we didn’t see in Mana Pools so that was exciting.  Every day was a new experience and once again our tents were great and the food gorgeous.  The pants seemed to get tighter daily!  At night after dinner we would sit around the fire and chat and sing so it was a lovely way to end the day. After four nights you really feel like a happy family so I definitely think it is worth the extra nights. We were very pleasantly surprised as we had an executive plane from there to Vic Falls - leather seats, lovely boxed gifts with a bow and goodies inside.  Very flash.  We just said “Monique has done it again”!

We were met every step of the way and arrived on the ‘Zambezi Queen’.  Wow what a beautiful boat and the perfect way to have a bit of a wind-down in between camps.  Everything was wonderful and once again we were very lucky and had the best cabins up at the front with two balconies and we all said – "Monique has done it again!" (we seem to say that a lot). The food and surroundings were fabulous and just tonking up the river was amazing. We did a safari drive in the Chobe National Park and that was really good and then the best of all was when the manager took us on a small boat to Elephant Cove and pulled up to the shore and we just sat for over an hour watching so many elephants running down to the water and the young ones swimming and frolicking in the water.  We had them just metres away and it was just a dream for me as elephant are my first love.  Kept having to pinch myself that it was really happening!

  • We took a long time to plan this trip and now it has come to and end, but we have had great experiences and everything was wonderful. You did a marvelous job!

The attention on the safaris was excellent - especially at Shumbalala Lodge, everything is so personalized. I just loved it.  Also at Simbambili Lodge, it was astonishing! The rangers are so well prepared, they really know everything and they love their jobs.

Now we have to put extra effort into recovering our figures, because they literally fed us as if we were going to be food for the lions!

Thanks for everything Monique, we'll gladly recommend you.

  • I had to call you the other day as I personally wanted to express my (and the entire groups) absolute gratitude to you for organising an incredible, perfect and hassle free holiday. The camps you chose for us were perfect – Kirkmans Kamp being exceptional in service, friendliness, quality and complete care with beautiful surroundings/furnishings, not to mention fabulous game watching and knowledge of the guides/trackers. Each and every staff member went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable and all the ‘specials’ that we were treated to, as well as the unbelievable generosity, surpassed any expectations – above and beyond... Thornybush was also absolutely unbelievable – beautiful rooms with outdoor showers, lovely staff, game drives and pampering, food and being spoilt! All in all you chose each camp so well taking in to account our large group with all our requirements. Everything you did was done with such graciousness and pleasure and I never felt uncomfortable to ask you anything. Our very very sincere thanks goes out to you from us all for such an incredibly superb holiday. Thank you thank you thank you!

  • We had an absolutely amazing time. We really appreciate how you listened to us and found us such a wonderful itinerary. All the people at Desert and Delta Safaris could not have been more pleasant. They truly made the whole experience very special and something we will always remember. Each lodge was beautiful, the staff was top notch, the activities were amazing, and the dining was wonderful. I want to mention our guides at Camp Moremi, Bonda, and at Savuti, Baba. These guys are truly professionals, and really made our game viewing experience absolutely fabulous. Unforgettable. Thanks once again for putting together a vacation of a lifetime for us. We hope to contact you again in the future about finding us another African adventure, since there is so much more for us to see and do.

  • Sorry I am just now getting back to you. Have been so busy since returning from our fabulous adventure. It was all I had hoped it would be..and more. I loved it all but especially the Delta, Savute and Elephant Camp. The accommodations were great but have decided that I definitely like the private concessions better than the National parks. The guides were great and very accommodating to meet all our desires and needs. Chobe Game Lodge was beautiful and the staff was wonderful but the smaller tented camps were our preference. Met some wonderful people and took over 800 photos. The photos are just beautiful! I’m so glad you recommended Elephant Camp. Loved the tent we stayed in, everyone was great and we went on the walk with Sylvester, which was truly a highlight of the trip. He is so beautiful and his caretakers are great. Also took a helicopter ride over the Falls which at this time of year was the best way to see it and feel the true majestic beauty of the falls. It was Betty’s first time over there and she can’t wait to go back. The parts of Africa that I have been thus far are all fabulous... I loved East Africa in 2006 but this one also will always be dear to my heart also. I want to go to Uganda and see the gorillas one day so maybe sometime in the future. Anyway, thanks so much for your assistance. Everything turned out perfectly. What a wonderful adventure! Just wanted to let you know that it was all perfect and many, many thanks to you and your staff for putting it all together. Hope to be back one day. Best wishes always.

Monique, we have had a wondeful trip. The Simbambili Lodge with an atmosphere we only could dream of. Also, we saw all the Big Five, several times - and even a big elephant bull came to greet us when we were bush walking with our ranger. Rovos rail was fantastic, and above expectations with regards to the presise organisation of everything - and the fabulous golf courses. We would all love to come again. The total concept, with all the in-between details with regards to pick-ups, storage etc worked really good. Thanks to you for all the preparations with all necessary contact information and good advice; we appreciated it all, though we never had to use it. Again Monique, we have had an amazing experience, and I hope we will be coming back shortly.
