Just returned from an epic safari experience in Kenya/Tanzania completely designed by Ms. Maureen Stover. To the company leaders and anyone out there reading this, Maureen held my hand every step of the way for almost the past year. I have dealt with travel agents from around the world and some of the most "high end" companies out there and Maureen IS BY FAR the best agent I have ever worked with. She always responded to my emails, addressed my concerns (even the stupid ones) and made me feel entirely comfortable booking a $30,000 trip with her, overseas and never having even spoken to her on the phone. I cannot say enough about how valuable she has been to my group and subsequently to your company. Thank you, Maureen!Lawrence Lu - November 2014
Hi Maureen, we have had a wonderful time over the last 2 weeks - even better than we expected. Firstly a big thank you to you and the team at Go2Africa. Your suggestions of locations and accommodation were wonderful and gave us different experiences along the way. Every little detail in the lead up to the trip and during the trip was taken care of. We had absolutely no problems - every airport/airstrip pick up, every transfer and every thing we could think of were all taken care of and nothing was left to chance. In fact everything ran so smoothly we didn't have to think. All of your tips and information in the lead up to the trip meant that we were thoroughly prepared.
The flow of the itinerary was also excellent. We felt we had just enough time at each place before moving on to the next. Each offered something different. We had a good mix of flying and driving which gave us the chance to see things from the ground that we would have missed in the air. Most days we also had time for relaxing - we didn't feel like we were rushing around to fit everything in, and we don't feel like we've missed anything either. A highlight was definitely the Hot Air balloon ride and your recommendation to do this over the Maasai Mara was perfect. It was a wonderful experience.
The two companies that took care of us, Gamewatchers and Tanzania DMC, did a wonderful job. Gamewatchers in particular made sure that, when they found Nicole's watch which she lost on the last day at Porini Lion Camp, had it waiting for us in Nairobi when we returned there for the journey home. Our drivers and guides, Big John at Porini and Martin Matei in Tanzania, were fantastic - their driving skill, knowledge about the animals, birds and plant life was fantastic, as well as being wonderful companions. Big John also was a keen photographer so always managed to find the perfect spot for a great photo and gave Rohan some photography tips along the way.Rohan & Nicole Harris - October 2014
I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you! Girl, you nailed it! The safari that you arranged for us was simply perfect, and everything went flawlessly the entire trip. The lodges were fantastic, the staff was great and always smiling, the food was great, the transfers were effortless, all of our requests were accommodated, and the game - well, we saw the Big 5, two wildebeest crossings, one half crossing, a zebra crossing, 120 elephants (at the same time), 32 giraffes (at the same time), three leopards, a serval cat, tens of thousands of wildebeests (at the same time), and watched the Tanzanian Super Pride (22 lions) playing with each other for an hour. The hot air balloon ride was also memorable. We took 900 pictures and about 15 minutes of video!
I've reviewed the four resorts on TripAdvisor, and gave you a credit in all of them - we really appreciated your recommendations and suggestions. YOU made it a great safari. I'm not just pleased - I'm over the moon! Thank you again Maureen!Rick & Darnes Hicks - August 2014
Hi Maureen, I just got back to the office yesterday, after an INCREDIBLE journey through East Africa! Let me start out by saying that Ranger Safaris, the outfit you set us up in Tanzania with was top-notch! Outstanding drivers/guides, hospitable, always informative and very professional. Kudos to you for picking the best supplier. THANK YOU! Our flights between the camps were pretty much on time and were great. When we landed 40 minutes late into Lake Manyara Airstrip, our guide Yahaya, made a very excellent suggestion of having our lunch at the nearby (Lake Manyara) Serena Lodge, instead of racing up to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. That was just what we needed, a meal prior to the long hard drive up the mountain.
All the camps exceeded our expectations, especially the Kichwa Tembo. They however were getting ready to open a new wing of camps on the property. So, we will be going back to that one (in the future), for sure. The food was exceptional, and the staff were excellent. My favorite camp. The hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti was wonderful, great sunrise and conditions were perfect.
Ending our journey with Dream of Zanzibar could not have been any more perfect in finishing up our awesome safari. James and I were just in awe at the location, the property, amenities, etc. I don’t know if you specified a Junior Suite for us there, but that’s what we got – and it was perfect! With an awesome ocean view to boot. The transfer driver was pleasant and courteous. We did have enough energy to take in a 3 hour city tour of historic Stone Town before going up to the resort. Good thing we did it on arrival – cause we didn’t really want to leave the resort. We needed those days of solitude and relaxation. I could go on and on with details, but you have many clients to satisify – and with us, you did a smashing great job!David Warren - July 2014
Reinette and I wanted to extend a huge thank you to you for all of our travel arrangements! Everything went so smoothly, from the payments to transfers and pick-ups; and we felt extremely blessed by the staff at Entumoto camp. Couldn't have had a better experience, so thank you again, we appreciate all your efforts!Lauren Koehn & Reinette Eksteen - June 2014
