My Travel Recommendations

I'd love to inspire you with my travel recommendations. From authentic safari camps in the heart of the iconic Masai Mara to private, family-friendly Kenya safaris, here are my favourites.

  • Azura @ Quilalea Private Island

    Azura Quilalea

    Location: Mozambique - Quirimbas

"A place that in one word can only be described as magic. Meals are enjoyed in a different location each evening, and the food can only be described as outrageously delicious. Romantics and honeymooners be warned, once you have visited this island chances are that you will return again and again – its really that good!"

  • Mbono Tented Camp

    Mbono Tented Camp

    Location: Tanzania - Serengeti

"Being able to do night game drives and guided walks is a rare occurrence in the Serengeti region, Mbono tented camp offers both. Located in a private concession guarantees a crowd free experience but with high wildlife encounters."

  • Massinga Beach Lodge

    Massinga Beach Lodge

    Location: Mozambique - Inhambane

"So remote that one can easily walk for hours on the endless beaches and only pass the occasional fisherman. The emphasis on a holiday here is to truly unwind and switch off, but if you are the type to keep a bit more active when on holiday, then there are plenty of excursions from cycling the beach to visiting nearby towns for a closer look at local culture."

  • Selous & Ruaha Adventure

Adventure Fly-In Serengeti Migration & Culture

Location: Tanzania - Selous, Tanzania - Ruaha, Tanzania - Dar Es Salaam

"Wilderness in its purest sense. Travellers with a great sense of adventure wanting to enjoy a night under the stars and brilliant guided walks, will love this safari. These areas are so far off the beaten path that you could quite possibly not encounter another person on game drives. Explore the winding riverways by boat in the Selous and savour the diversity of the wildlife at Ruaha. In my opinion a trip that could rank as “one in a lifetime”"

  • Polana Serena Hotel

    Polana Serena Hotel

    Location: Mozambique, Mozambique

"The Polana is a Maputo landmark! Noted for its design by Herbert Baker, this city hotel is perfectly accessed from the airport and harbour. If spending more than one night, do get out and explore Maputos shops which are within easy reach. My favourite spot was the Aquarius bar and restaurant which serves sushi and delicious cocktails, the views here are magic!"

Read what our Travellers have to say

Well you have done it again Lauren! We have just arrived home from the most fantastic trip. I cannot thank you enough for your planning this, especially the Pangolin Wildlife Safari Course. Janelle our tutor was just the best. We had perfect weather all the way with exceptional sightings on every safari. The only downfall was that we should have stayed longer at each camp especially Savute Safari Camp. The staff gave the two of us on our departing evening a special champagne candlelit dinner by ourselves overlooking the waterhole. What a treat. Once again many thanks.
