  • Our heads are coming back into focus now after the trip and the long flight! But what a trip! I’ve told numerous people how smoothly everything went. You’re planning was really first rate. Thank you! We loved South Africa. Initial safari was really good and we saw a lot more than I thought we would. Accommodations were outstanding with a lot of attention to detail. Port Elizabeth to Swellendam all went without a hitch, once we got use to driving on the other side. Knysna was really nice lodging. The B&B staff were so nice! Not even any paper work to fill out on arrival! We hiked Roberg, which they knew and could give us guidance to that an other hikes in the area.

Cape Town accommodations was also outstanding. Very personalized and actually checked on us about what our itinerary was, made bookings for dinner. We ubered all around that city.
Then off to Windhoek and Etosha. Had a bit of trouble finding the Onguma Safari Lodge but we did eventually. Saw so many animals, again I was very surprised at the amount we saw. This was a really pretty setting, all the food everywhere was excellent. Driving ourselves through Etosha was good and we took our time getting through and finally arriving at Ongava. They hand carried our luggage up and over a small mountain to a very nice tent room where we saw black rhino at the pan while eating dinner. It was really magical.

Next day started driving to Damaraland and as you already know it wasn’t easy! It was pretty white knuckle driving but the graders were out the next day working on roads. Onto Swampokomund on the coast. This was OK actually as we met a couple from Kobaku earlier in South Africa. We communicated via email and realized our paths would cross again, so that was nice to eat dinner together. Wolwedans was very nice accommodations and the staff was super.

I think you did a great job putting this all together for us. It was really a trip of a lifetime for us and we are so glad we were able to do it, stayed healthy the whole way, all connections worked. Thank you for putting this all together Mary

  • We had an amazing time and so much of that was thanks to you and the suggestions you gave us, such as going to Okavango Delta. Also can’t thank you enough for the work you put in making sure it all went smoothly and adjusting things before and while we are on the trip. I have to say one of the biggest surprises and pleasures was also due to you, and that was Cape Cadogan. It was an amazing place and we loved the decor, the people working there (who were so helpful and friendly), and also the other people staying there. It was quite nice to hang out early evening having wine and discussing travels with the other lodgers. Plus the location could not have been better, which as I remember you had to talk me into and that worked out great!

Of course the most amazing part was the animals on safari. Reading and watching videos just do not get you ready for the experience of being so close to all those animals. It was so perfect doing the three parts: Delta, Linyati and Mala Mala, and seeing the different landscapes and animals. All of them had so much to offer and all the ‘camps’ were outstanding in every way.

  • In short, it was AMAZING. You did a great job and your help navigating transfers, domestic flights and making decisions was so very valuable. Dulini was a suprise and delight at every single turn. I can't say enough good things about this place. We saw all the Big 5 plus many many other amazing things and we were so up close and personal with the animals I would find myself not breathing! The first night there was a bush dinner and Melissa and I were in tears coming off our first amazing game drive only to arrive at this setting and be greeted with a bonfire, African singing and dancing, gorgeous wine and food and the warmest staff on the planet. It seemed like it would have been hard to top that with the bar set so high the first day but they continued to raise the bar and jump over it right up until we left. We were so sad to leave and will have a place for Dulini in our hearts forever!

EVERYTHING about Dulini was perfect and I would not ever hesitate to recommend it if I were in your shoes. They truly consider every single second of your day and how to make it a perfect experience. Worth every single penny. I don't have enough words for how amazing it was and we all agreed it was the experience of a lifetime.
We loved the domestic flights. Great job on all of those! LOVED the helicopter. Amazing recommendation, it was worth the spend!

Anantara was gorgeous. Of course we compared everything to Dulini so it's hard to give it 5 out of 5 stars like Dulini but it's a solid 4.5. They are lovely, and so accommodating! The spa was incredible. We went a few times during our visit and it did not disappoint. The excursion to Paradise Island was a great recommendation. We loved it. Awesome snorkeling. They put flowers in our room and spelled out a birthday message to Josh with flora. Again, they are lovely and warm and we had a great time.

  • I don't even know if there are words to describe what this trip meant to us and how wonderful it was. Cape Town and Constantia were both so beautiful and fun to explore - being near the ocean but surrounded by mountains was so breathtaking; Franschhoek (and the surrounding wine regions) was delicious, charming and quaint; and our stops at Kings Camp and Leopard Hills gave us some of the most thrilling experiences we have ever had! We saw 31 different mammals over our 5 days, including the elusive wild dogs and a cheetah!

Our meals everywhere were delicious (I could list so many great restaurants!) and our lodgings (oh my goodness our lodgings!) were truly spectacular. We've never felt so spoiled on any other holiday. And the people we encountered! Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and went out of their way for us, making sure that our stay was excellent. We wouldn't change a single details of our holiday, except for maybe never having had to leave :)

You put together a truly spectacular and wonderful holiday for us and it made our 10th anniversary so very special. We have raved about our experience in South Africa to everyone who has asked, and I still get teary-eyed thinking back on our time there. It was very hard to leave. South Africa will always have a very special place in our heart, and we hope that we can return again someday. We had such an amazing time. Thank you so much Mary.

  • The South African tour was wonderful, the hotel in Pretoria very special, definitely we were looked after. The tour of the diamond mine we enjoyed very much. Our family have been involved in mining over the years, so of special interest, also the drive there and back gave us a good look around Pretoria. The Rovos train journey was much more comfortable thank you for the upgrade. With our accommodation, it worked well sharing with my brother. The meals were excellent probably put weight on in three days. An experience for sure, enjoyed the afternoon stop for the safari, amazed at the animals we saw enroute. Red carpet & local lads gave us a great welcome to Victoria Falls Hotel, our room lovely & comfortable, loved the era, felt as if I should be wearing 1940's clothing. The Falls tour was great, magnificent actually, what a site. My highlight actually was to have the ride on the large African elephants, these large animals are so well trained a credit to their team. Thank you for organising such a great week of firsts for us. You looked after all the details of this trip, no problems arose throughout.
