African Beach & City Break

City and beach holidays allow you to experience the eclectic urban vibe of an African city with the beauty offered by African beaches.

Go sightseeing, learn about history and culture, sample great food and dance until dawn before leaving all that behind in favour of deserted beaches, warm water and a bit of snorkelling - a perfect African beach holiday and city break.

Of course, there are those cities with a beach or two within their limits. Cape Town, situated as it is on a peninsula, has many beaches to choose from.

There's the glitz and glamour of palm tree lined Camps Bay with its many sidewalk cafes and restaurants, Boulders Beach provides family fun with penguins, and Noordhoek Beach can make you believe you've left the city far behind. Cape Town is a great destination for a hassle-free African beach and city break.

Durban and Port Elizabeth are also South African cities with beaches suitable for a bit of sunbathing and safe swimming. However travel out of town, up or down the coast, to find the beaches truly worth travelling to.

Dar es Salaam, Mombasa and Stone Town in Zanzibar are also African cities with beaches and can add a bit of exotic East African flavour to a city and beach holiday.
