Allard grew up on a wine farm in the Western Cape, as a result of which he owns a very dented 4x4.
After high school Allard travelled the world, working on boats in the Caribbean and bars in London. In Mallorca he was a yacht slave most days and a Columbian furniture removal man on others. Some of his travels include Morocco, Bulgaria, Ireland, Egypt, Indonesia and Namibia.
Growing up, Allard always wanted to be a pirate, but until then he'll settle for the title of Go2Africa's "Mr. Overland Adventure." He is a certified Dive Master and his next travels will be to Malawi and the Okavango Delta.
