Mia Schoeman

Mia is a workaholic with a beautiful smile - a deadly combination. She has been at Go2Africa since its humble beginnings, and is regarded around the office as travel royalty.

The daughter of diplomats, Mia began her life of jet-setting adventure at the age of twelve. She spent two-year stints in Tokyo, then Warsaw. At the age of seventeen, she kissed mom and dad goodbye and set off on her own to brave New York. Mia struggled in Manhattan for a year, making ends meet as a waitress and ice-cream sales girl.

A year-and-a-half later Mia returned to Pretoria, South Africa. She tried her brain at university, but her restless independence proved too strong and after two frustrating years she dropped everything to fly around the world as an air stewardess. She lived in Holland, Dubai, and Australia.

After years of living the high life and travelling absolutely everywhere, Mia returned to South Africa for some much-needed down-to-earth living. She settled in Cape Town, and co-ordinated African golfing holidays for large groups of high profile clients.

On her chances in a game of Survivor, she has this to say: "Popular for the first week, voted off the second, when contestants realise how independent and direct I am.”

Qualifications

First 2 years of BCom degree. Flight attendant in Dubai for 2 years. Travel agent in Sydney, Australia for a year. Golfing travel agent prior to joining Go2Africa.

Travel experience

I've been almost everywhere. Next on my list are Spain, Portugal, France, Scotland, South America and Greenland.
