What to See & Do in Botswana

Botswana is first and foremost a big game destination. Given that this Texas-sized country has a population of barely 2 million, there is a lot of wilderness out there - and most of it is full of wildlife.

Top of the list is of course the Okavango Delta, a sparkling freshwater wetland lying at the heart of the arid Kalahari - believe the hype: if you've ever wanted to see a Garden of Eden-type environment bursting with wildlife, look no further than the Okavango Delta, much of which falls under the protection of the famous Moremi Game Reserve.

Hot on the Delta's heels is the legendary Chobe National Park - home to Africa's largest elephant population and jam-packed with huge herds of buffalo, antelope, zebra and a full rogue's gallery of predators.
