Central District
Botswana
The Central District is Botswana's largest administrative district. It doesn't contain any major tourist attractions, being southeast of most of Botswana's major game reserves and the Okavango Delta. It is mostly farmland. One of the world's richest diamond mines is found at Orapa.
The Mashatu Game Reserve occupies Botswana's easternmost area and falls within the Central District. This area is home to many private game reserves, with great herds of elephants and many colourful birds, and is accessible from Gaborone.
