Deception Valley Lodge is situated just out the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana.

The lodge itself offers an authentic African theme, while the surrounding area offers excellent wildlife sightings. Species here include cheetah, leopard, gemsbok, kudu and springbok.

There is also a rich variety of birdlife, including vultures and rare species indigenous to this region.

Spend your days on game drives, occasionally going off-road to follow tracks.

Sit back and relax with sundowners while admiring the flaming sunsets and star-filled sky. After sunset, you may have the opportunity of going on a night drive to see some of the nocturnal species found here.

As a guest at Deception Valley Lodge you can expect delicious meals that usually include game. The outdoor boma is used for evening meals under the stars.

Accommodation at Deception Valley Lodge consists of 5 thatched chalets raised on stilts and connected with the main lodge by wooden walkways.

Each chalet consists of a luxury twin-bedded room with an en suite Victorian style bathroom, an outside shower and a spacious lounge. All the chalets are fitted with ceiling fans, mosquito nets, mini bar, hairdryer, shaving plug and bathrobes.
