The vast and unspoilt Central Kalahari Game Reserve in Botswana is the largest sand basin in the world and home to the beautiful Tau Pan, and where Tau Pan Camp is situated.

Tau Pan overlooks a permanent waterhole and the endless Kalahari horizon, giving it a unique sense of space that is different to anywhere else in Botswana.

This solar-powered camp has special features like outdoor showers, private viewing decks as well as a swimming pool. Explore the reserve on 4x4 game drives or on guided bush walks with the San Bushmen.

The best time to go is between January and April when the warm summer rainfall refreshes the area; over 400 plant species are present, as well as a host of bird species, including the kori bustard, korhaan, ostrich and a number of raptors.
