Duma Tau is a small, luxury tented camp in the private 125 000ha Linyanti Wildlife Reserve that borders the western boundary of Chobe National Park in northern Botswana.
The camp is built under a shady grove of mangosteen trees and overlooks a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system. The source of the Savuti Channel is close to the camp, and day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles up the Savuti are one of the highlights of the area.
Activities at Duma Tau Camp are diverse and allow you to enjoy time on the water, on land and on foot. There are many hides in the area where you can enjoy wildlife viewing away from a vehicle. One of the best is right at the source of the Savuti and many species of game and birdlife can usually be seen from this hide.
The area is also famous for its elephant; huge herds congregate in winter along the waterways and lagoons. During these dry months sable and roan antelope traverse the flood plains, along with impala, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, lechwe, tsessebe and other plains game in the area.
Duma Tau is situated in the Linyanti Reserve, an area of 125 000ha of prime wildlife countryside in Northern Botswana.
