Kwando Lebala Camp

Superior tented bush camp situated in the Kwando concession area in Botswana.

  • Surroundings Attract Wildlife - wetlands around Lebala offer a wonderful variety of wildlife with excellent sightings.

  • Game Drives - enjoy viewing game from open vehicles that drive off road.

  • Night-Time Sightings - nocturnal mammal behaviour is a highlight at Lebala with its high visibility plains.

Situated in the southern part of the 2,320 sq.km Kwando concession, Lebala Camp is sited on a peninsula of land jutting into the Linyanti marshes that surround the camp. The Kwando River disperses into the marsh which is a permanent patchwork of reed beds, wetlands, palm-covered islands and open plains.

'Lebala' is the Tswana word for 'wide open plains', which are home to herds of plains, game and the ever-attendant predators. Lebala offers regular sightings of elephant, lion, wild dog, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, kudu, lechwe, impala, wildebeest and waterbuck.

Activities include morning and afternoon/night game drives in open safari vehicles, fishing and boating from Lebala's sister camp, Lagoon Camp.
