Situated in the southern part of the 2,320 sq.km Kwando concession, Lebala Camp is sited on a peninsula of land jutting into the Linyanti marshes that surround the camp. The Kwando River disperses into the marsh which is a permanent patchwork of reed beds, wetlands, palm-covered islands and open plains.
'Lebala' is the Tswana word for 'wide open plains', which are home to herds of plains, game and the ever-attendant predators. Lebala offers regular sightings of elephant, lion, wild dog, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, tsessebe, kudu, lechwe, impala, wildebeest and waterbuck.
Activities include morning and afternoon/night game drives in open safari vehicles, fishing and boating from Lebala's sister camp, Lagoon Camp.
