Superior tented safari camp in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, Botswana.
Superb Location - a nearby waterhole attracts animals allowing for fantastic game viewing.
Abundant Wildlife - Savuti Channel is a legendary wildlife region with high concentrations of game.
Private & Secluded - a small and intimate tented camp in an isolated area.
Savuti Camp is situated in the southern part of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, in northern Botswana. The camp is built along the Savuti Channel, about 17km downstream from the source of the Savuti.
However, the channel stopped flowing in 1980 and what was a hippo-filled river is now wide open grassland.
The Chobe/Linyanti area is renowned for its dense elephant population and for some of the best elephant viewing in Africa in the dry winter months, as the waterhole in front of the camp is the only supply of water for a large area.
Hides at other waterholes also allow for fantastic viewing opportunities. As Savuti Camp is situated within the private Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, activities are not limited to the rules and regulations of Chobe.
Activities include photographic safaris, game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, hides, night drives and walks with an armed guard. Game in the area includes all of Botswana's big game, and is one of the best areas in the country to see predators; there is also good concentration of plains' game.
Although hunting is legal, it's not permitted in the Savuti area, and as a result the animals can live and breed without negative human impact.
