Jack's Camp is situated in the rugged wilderness area on the border of the Makgadikgadi Pans in the Kalahari, forming an oasis in this harsh, yet beautiful, environment. The concession is private allowing you to enjoy night drives, walks & complete privacy.

The camp is one of the few to retain a classic 1940s safari style, with Persian rugs, crisp cotton linen and mahogany furniture creating a distinctly colonial feel.

The central guest areas overlook the pans where you can enjoy the views from the comfort of a swing-chair, or as you sip a sundowner at the bar. A tented pavilion swimming pool offers respite from the heat of midday, and a cosy fireside setting will keep you warm in the evenings as you reminisce over the day's events.

Learn more about your surroundings by exploring the book collection in the small library, or spend an afternoon in the museum before heading off to your safari explorations.

You may participate in various activities at Jack's Camp by combining wildlife with culture, history, archaeology and geology, creating a memorable experience.

Interact with the friendly meerkats, walk with Bushmen Guides, game drive to experience fantastic desert wildlife, visit Chapman's Baobab - one of the oldest and biggest trees in Africa, go bird-watching and on thrilling night drives.

During the dry season (16h April - 31st October) activities include quad biking across the saltpans, while in the wet season (1st November - 15th April) you may experience the spectacular zebra and wildebeest migration.

Jack's Camp is situated on a private concession on the border of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in the Kalahari Desert, central Botswana.

Jack's Camp's communal dining area contains a long table, where you can exchange stories with the other guests over dinner. The menu emphasises fresh and original cuisine, with dishes such as fresh basil soup, ostrich piccata, roast Botswana beef and orange tarts.

You can also relax and unwind in Jack's Camp's Tea Tent.

Accommodation at Jack's Camp is in 10 green canvas tents. The tents are spacious and decorated in a classic 1940s safari style, each with an en-suite bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower. You can enjoy the views as you relax in a lounger on your tent deck.
