Lighting Up The Night - you can see wildlife coming to drink at the waterhole at any hour, thanks to the camp's floodlights.
Historical Significance - historical and archaeological sites prevail; notably the Motloutse Ruins and the Pitsani Koppie sites.
Daily Adventures - a wide range of activities are on offer, from predator drives to educational trips, allowing you to do as much, or as little, as you wish.
The Mashatu Game Reserve lies in the remote Eastern corner of Botswana, at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers, in an area known as the Tuli Block - a diverse wilderness of savannah, riverine forests, marshland, open plains and sandstone outcrops.
The reserve initiated an on-going research program which studies the protection and conservation of the area. You will be offered an insight into the fascinating programs at the Discovery Room in the Main Camp, which is the base for this research.
The wildlife experience at Mashatu is personalised. Dedicated, experienced Tswana rangers and trackers are keen to show you their world. Radio-linked 4-wheel drive vehicles set out at dawn and again at dusk in search of the diverse variety of fauna and flora, which abound throughout the reserve.

A safari experience would not be complete without a sumptuous dinner, served around a blazing fire in the lala-palm enclosed African boma, under the magnificent African night sky.
Mashatu Main Camp is elevated around a waterhole and hence offers excellent game viewing opportunities from within the camp. A maximum of 28 guests can be accommodated at Mashatu Main Camp in 14 comfortable suites, which are tastefully decorated in an authentic African style.
Each standard chalet has an en-suite bathroom, while the superior chalets have twin "his" and "hers" bathrooms. The superior chalets also have private verandas overlooking the unfenced surrounding bush.
All chalets are equipped with climate control to keep you warm in winter and cool in the hot summer months. Insect-proof screening on the windows and sliding doors should keep out any unwanted visitors.
